I regret the subframe rigid collars. I had a really hard time believing that they would actually do anything, but I grabbed a set on Black Friday. I have had them installed for two weeks now and I can confidently say that they did nothing for the feel of the car. I'm sure they will make it easier to get an even alignment side-to-side, but that isn't enough to justify the cost and, more importantly, the time it takes to install them.
Really? A ton of people have done these and reported feeling a noticeable difference. Have you pushed the car hard since installing them?

I have the PRL collars.

All of the positive reviews are what convinced me to give these a try.

I haven't driven all that hard, since the install. I have a track day in a few weeks though. I will come back and ammend my original post if my opinion changes.

I still have yet to install mine...

low rpm range (2-4000) and cruising in 6th the drone is noticeable. i love awe stuff and run their touring systems on all my cars, i also have the same drone on my GR & fk8 type R lol
Yea I mean it’s not horrible. But at some point I’ll regret it enough to maybe consider changing it back to the valves models.

I've only had the car for 2 months (on the nose today), but unlike my old civic sport, this one doesn't feel like it needs the mods. My civic sport was a car that I was desperately trying to to make into something it wasn't, but the CTR is the complete opposite. I feel like I haven't pushed the car enough, every time I drive it the car tells me it can push more, and every time I do push it, it keeps telling me there's even more. Massively different. Don't think I'll mod for a while (maybe exhaust and tune).

I get where you’re coming from and agree. Having warranty is nice too.

The problem was I rode in a FBO on car and mine just never felt the same after that day. Lol.

My analogy: The stock FL5 is nice like a scoop of vanilla ice cream with some sprinkles.

A full bolt on FL5, however, is like two scoops of vanilla ice cream on top of a warm fresh baked brownie that is also covered with Hershey syrup and a cherry on top.

Both are good desserts, ones just a little sweeter lol

I was going to hold off on any engine mods and just do interior/exterior things until I logged 15k or so miles to really get to understand and push the car(summer tires getting mounted Monday should help), but here I am bought my ticket for the Chicago, Hondata event 🤦‍♂️. Telling myself I won’t use the base maps or get an OTS tune.

on a side note haven’t even messed around with VSA off yet, but I swear I could feel the brake vectoring on an off ramp. Am I making this up or you guys can feel it to

I definitely feel it during hard cornering, feels stronger than in the other 11th gen models.

I think the day I can get 90% mastering the car is the day I'll add power mods. Until then it'll be stuff related to cooling, sound and maintenance. I have a pretty bad habit of falling real far down the rabbit hole with car modding. So bad that I'm holding off on throwing some of chassis bracing into the type R lol
