As we all know, The FL5 Type R only has internal climate control for the driver and front passeger. When it's nice out, these Window Vents can be considered AC for the back seat.

I hear that there are some fairly quality covers out there for the FL5 Type R seats.
If I find a solid set of seat covers, even I may one day have a passenger in the back who might like some outside AC.

Chippy the Woodchipper.

I would take my shadow with me on a ride sometime, but she’s too small to look out the windows from any of the seats in the R and she would go nuts.

May 2025

Upgraded interior suspension from Tempur Pillow to TempurPedic Office Seat Cushion, Medium.
Price was about $90.00 U.S. per cushion before shipping. Shipped directly from Kentucky.

Cushion can slide forward or rearward to adjust seating position.

If, somehow, (not that this would ever happen in a Type R) food crumbs ever end up being affected by gravity, they will fall onto the TempurPedic Office Seat Cushion, instead of the seat itself.

In the event of such an emergent occurrence:

Pull over and safely stop the vehicle.
Exit the vehicle.
Remove Office Seat Cushion from vehicle.
Shake off (and perhaps lightly brush) Office Seat Cushion.
Place Office Seat Cushion back onto Type R seat.
Go about your merry way.

Cheers.

The headlight film was purchased at metrorestyling.com and the taillight tint was something else the shop had in house.

Doing the same to my car. Love it. I bought the tint to do it myself, glad the metro option worked. I almost went that route but felt it was a bit much for tint. That’s just me thinking out loud.

Nooice!

Yeah, the Metro Restyling Dark Yellow headlight tint is pretty thicc and stiff. Marco the installer had a tough time getting it to curve and stay put.

I hope you show your before, during, and after photos on your thread!
Also, feel free to chuck a few photos this way if you like.

Update.
June 18, 2025.

My 2025 FL5 has been at Platinum Auto San Antonio for about a week now for a fresh wrap.
Let's check on the progress...

11th Gen Honda Civic Sporky SideGrades Texas FL5 Type R IMG_0555

After weeks of consideration, I decided to go with a color PPF from Miracle Coat. The color I selected: Dory Blue. It is close to a Royal Blue, with a bit of darker, deeper color, plus some extra shine over Honda's Boost Blue.

So, since this color is in the Blue spectrum, I figure that it will not be so jarring to see Boost Blue on the interior panels. Consider it a bit of a ... two tone.

Lemme know what y'all think.

Some bad interior angles here, I know. Please be patient.

*The texture you see here is not the wrap. It's just the wall. Just so you know.
11th Gen Honda Civic Sporky SideGrades Texas FL5 Type R IMG_0572

Trying to get a better angle here.

A bit of progress on my wheel Sidegrade...
I got myself some Honda Modulo FL5 19" Forged wheels along with some Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4.

Also in the picture are the set of 4x H&R 15mm spacers that will accompany the new wheels on the car.
And, yes, that is also a set of "Michelin" Tire Totes, as purchased from the illustrious Amazon.com . I know, how did I even find such a good deal?

Now, the question everyone wants answered is... WHAT SIZE, because the stock 265/30ZR19 is criminally narrow and skinny!!!

Yes, I know it is. That is why I am here.
I did indeed purchase my Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires in 275/35ZR19, which is just normal size.

11th Gen Honda Civic Sporky SideGrades Texas FL5 Type R IMG_0601

The 265/30ZR19 is just unnecessarily inhumane.
This skinny wire of a tire size only serves to abuse the driver, and even worse, the CAR.

275/35ZR19 shoulda been OEM on the FL5 ...

Therefore, 275/35ZR19 will from hence forth be forever referenced as "OEM Shoulda" ,
because it shoulda been stock.

Think I'm wrong?
You're wrong.

Fight me.

Tire Totes , or Tyre Totes, which come four to a box, are available at Amazon for about $70.00 US plus tax.

11th Gen Honda Civic Sporky SideGrades Texas FL5 Type R IMG_0517

I got two boxes for about $140.00 plus tax.
Each Tire Tote can carry a wheel + tire up to 80 pounds and up to 30" in diameter.

11th Gen Honda Civic Sporky SideGrades Texas FL5 Type R IMG_0523

Somehow, although I'm in Texas, I seem to have gotten the English and JDM "Tyre Tote" version of the Tire Tote.

I feel kinda special right now.

Thanks ...
France ???

So, I don't know how "Michelin" they actually are. They seem to be proficient at the assigned task.

Weight:
The shop I hired used a used scale.
Cannot confirm accuracy.
Take that as you will.

Clocked one Honda Forged 19x9.5" wheel mounted onto a Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4, size 275/35ZR19, wrapped in one "Michelin Tyre Tote", minus one plastic Honda center cap:

11th Gen Honda Civic Sporky SideGrades Texas FL5 Type R IMG_0604

51.4 pounds.
