Huge shoutout to my boy Quan and Mr. Johnny of MDR INDUSTRIES! I finally found a cooling plate that I like. I think it’s there attention to detail that won me over. It was a small wait, but that wait is over.

now, I just have to re-purchase the parts that the Honda dealership stole when the car was inspected. I went to install the cooling plate and realized the ancillaries were missing

everything I’ve done up to now is all temporary. When my wheels finally arrive after a year of waiting, it’ll be time to take the traditional route.

I also still plan to pursue the buyback. I just have to make sure HONDA doesn’t take any more joy rides, which reminds me, I need to speak with Hondata to see if I can put a speed restriction on my car.

Picked up my under covers today, unfortunately, it comes as an assembly. So, $100 bucks if anyone wants the factory "cooling plate" & hardware. Still puzzled, how this disappeared from my car is beyond me - How could they forget they left off such a big ass part?

Non Visual Updates - Despite my attempts to secure it, leaving work I lost and recovered the side splitter. I have been communicating with the manufacturer that there are some minor design flaws with this piece.

Honda NA has re-opened my case, more than likely I'll be reverting the car back to stock. They will be attempting to have it looked at by a field engineer.

Got home from work this morning, loaded with energy, and decided I should fix this splitter canard aka side splitter. After researching what bonds to PEs, I went to Home Depot (only local place that had it) and grabbed a PE specific, two part, loctite glue.

Cliffs: as mentioned, I’ve been helping the company with my insights and feedback. Yesterday, I shared my mounting redesign/resolution with the them, hoping in the future they’ll make it right for prospective clients. I did feel it was my job to improve their product, but why gatekeep. It only makes future products better. Anyway…..

looking at the car this way, I seem to like it better. Now the question remains;

to keep or not to keep - What do you guys think?

To me, it looks good! If people put on the HKS, it’s basically the same concept, but the JDM purity somehow makes it feel better. I’m not a fan of the red, but your car looks great because of the way you’re customizing it, it really matches your vibe. It looks good the way you’re doing it! You are absolutely right why gate keep like some others that talk on having bespoke wheels or parts made just for them!
