take a look at group26 batteries - it's basically the same height as group47 with a smaller footprint.
I've had one of these in my car for a year - under 14lbs.
$1k for a battery is insane.

Thanks!

I will never pay $1k for a battery
the antigravity is 14 lbs

the mightymax group 47 is $230 and 9 lbs

I have good experience with the brand. US based with batteries made overseas [EDIT] Vietnam for sealed lead acid, most likely China for LiFePO4 [/EDIT]

I’ll take a look and see if they make group 26 and how much it weighs

[UPDATE] Correction 9.2 lbs for Mighty Max group 47 H5. Mighty Max does not make group 26 as far as I can tell [/UPDATE]

I've run LFP batteries in older street motorcycles for many years without issues. In that application they are better than lead acid (and never leak acid).
I don't run them in my newer electric start only bikes. Newer bikes, like cars, have small electronics drains. These drains are bad for LFP if the vehicles sit a while between use.
Also LFP's tend to fail all at once, where lead-acids generally give warning (slow cranking, etc.).
Before installing a LFP in a CTR, I'd want to see someone on YouTube testing it and cutting it open to see the quality inside.

I assembled a starter battery using lithium cells myself, installed it together with the water injection system’s water pump in the trunk. I removed the spare tire with a DIY partition and offset weight toward the rear via this rear-mounted battery setup to lighten the front end of the vehicle
