I am looking to replace the cast aluminum OEM upper charge pipe to get rid of another unnecessary heat sink under the hood. Any aftermarket suggestions for that specific part by itself?

I've already replaced the 5.6 pound cast aluminum OEM turbo inlet pipe with a carbon fiber Eventuri one that weighs 0.8 pounds as mentioned in this thread.

Bump...Part in question is number 8 in the below diagram:
11th Gen Honda Civic Throttle Body Inlet Pipe (a.k.a., Upper Charge Pipe) Replacement? Upper_Charge_Pi

Is anyone aware of any aftermarket upgrades for this particular part? Ideally, I am looking for one made from carbon fiber that either connects directly to the 66mm OEM throttle body or supports connecting to a larger 74mm throttle body.

Cool and thanks. I am curious as to what options are available if one were to upgrade to an oversized or Bosch 74mm throttle body.
It would probably still be the same options, its usually the inner bore and the butterfly flap of the throttle body that's larger. The outside dimensions usually stay the same so you can still use stock or aftermarket charge pipes of the same size.

Stay with the OEM throttle body. It's a turbo charged car, it gets its air by pressure not so much free flow. I did a larger tb on my car for 6months and my fuel mileage went down by 4mpg with no gain in HP. Also it was very annoying to just cruise on the road, because the slightest touch of the pedal would make it accelerate instead of maintaining a speed.

I also did charge pipes. The aluminum pipe absorbs heat so I wrapped the upper pipe in thermal wrap. Slightly better response and midrange HP. There is also a slight increase in turbo noise (throaty).

After further research, I went ahead and ordered the Plazmaman charge pipe kit with a raw finish. Options that upgrade the throttle body inlet pipe seem to be limited to PRL, HPS and Plazmaman.

Link and information regarding the HKS Intercooler Pipes that I installed.

The upgraded Plazmaman High Flow Piping Kit arrived today. Here are some PICs and details as there is not a lot of information available about the kit:

All of the above intercooler piping kits provide a direct connection to each side of the OEM intercooler (or any aftermarket intercooler that uses the same connection points) and use screw clamps. Upgrading those clamps to T-bold ones would be better.

HKS and HPS replace Parts 4 and 7 with mandrel bent aluminum tubing (adds the need for two additional clamps) whereas PRL and Plazmaman replace those parts with upgraded silicone hose. PRL and Plazmaman options upgraded those particular parts better to still allow for engine torque flex.

PRL, HPS and Plazmaman are the only options that provide a larger replacement for the OEM throttle body pipe. PRL and Plazmaman options are better since they also provide a connection point to secure the part to the OEM engine bracket.

PRL, HKS and Plazmaman are the only options that provide a replacement for the OEM plastic intercooler outlet elbow. That particular part should be upgraded since the OEM plastic elbow will eventually fail over time.

The Plazmaman piping kit is the most expensive however, it offers a complete kit upgrade that is well designed and engineered IMHO.
