I’ve heard aluminum rims should be torqued to spec after a few hundred miles. My car, 2025 Honda civic sport non hybrid, is approaching 600 miles where I’m going to charge the oil and filter with oem parts. I have a good snap-on torque wrench (non digital) and can easily torque the lugs to spec. What is the spec or what torque value do you guys recommend and is this even needed? Thank you

I always use torque wrench to save bolts thread and to be safe.
Cheap at Harbour Freight ; I go to 80 lbs ; food for my car.

I have it since 6 years (?) and use it for 8 wheels change each year

yep, always at 80 ft./lb even when rechecking. although you probably want a 1/2" drive for the lug nuts. better to use less adapters.

1/2” just gives you more torque for less effort. Generally beefier with longer handle
It's possible, I don't know.
As I only do 8 wheels a year, the effort required is not a factor.
The price of the tool is, and as it's used very little

you also are maxing out the torque rating on that 3/8" drive. they aren't very accurate at the limit.

You may be right, but there's no proof.
But I can feel that the nuts are securely tightened without being too tight because the threads don't get damaged.
I've been using it for more than 6 years and have covered more than 150,000 miles with the cars.
