You made the right call to replace them. That much wear with that little track time means you were going to hit the backing plate on your next event. Looks like about 5mm left? That’s usually the cut off unless you KNOW they are going to last.
FL5 Pad is a super common shape — Brembo 1001. I wouldn’t be surprised if you found a few other options on FCP Euro for it — maybe some Pagids.
The Hawk DTC-60 is like the basic track pad — it works, but it’s LOUD, it’s dust is hyper corrosive (so don’t let it sit on your wheels), it’s...
It’s become quite a regular statement at Ridge as well — it’s become a very strong “you won’t be welcome back” statement. But, with that said It has been more directed at deliberately taking photos of the wrecked vehicle in the paddock vs video which happened to pick up.
Those codes are definitely not normal, and should not come on when pushing the car “hard
What is modified on your car? We need to figure out what is causing this.
Underboost sounds like a leak somewhere. You should be checking all your connections, to make sure everything is secure.
I don't think anyone should demonize driving in any setting. Drive where you are comfortable and works for you. No one wins from someone driving in a setting where they aren't comfortable. It's good you are experimenting with that works best for you and your driving -- that's what it is all...
I'll hit Fuel Starve after 2 sessions -- about 8 gallons used -- in high G, on throttle, right handers.
I always run full or near full tank. The weight difference isn't helping any set a PB here -- taking a poop before your session will do the same ?
1) Concur on SRF -- Endless RF-650 is another great option (but more expensive, but I always steer clear of the rest (aka the ones that all come in the same bottle with a different label).
2) Reduced Track (Short Press) is pretty invasive if you like rotation. If you don't that's totally okay...
I wasn't using worried in a negative sense. It's a legitimate concern that people have, and luckily there is a product for it who have lower risk thresholds.
I always have track insurance -- since day 1 -- but I've personally never went for the track liability coverage. I've typically run with...
VIR is EXPENSIVE for Armco. Couple Thousand easy.
If you are super worried about this -- get Track Insurance from Open Track and make sure you get the Liability component -- this will cover those expenses if they occur.
re: Hogpen in the sim -- it's very different in real life. The compression...
Quick Release -- Easy to Release. Hard to Attach off Body. Impossible to Attach on Body. Requires you to fully assemble to helmet, prior to you putting your helmet on.
Hans Anchor -- Not impossible to put on when helmet is on.
I don't recommend buying the Quick Release
I hate it and regret getting it. It's easy to get off, impossible to get on. I'd rather be able to easily attach so I don't have to get in the Hybrid S + Helmet in one awkward moment.
I just suck it up and use it. I have to use semi-slick or the car is basically undriveable, but the grip differential between the two tire options is SO dramatic.
I'd also like something LHD...really fucks with my visuals
I've got the Logitech Pro Setup
Logitech Pro DD
Logitech Pro Loadcell
Playseat Trophy - Logitech Edition Rig
Playseat Single Monitor Mount
42" Vizio 4K TV
I really need Trips or an UW to get more visibility on my sides.
Typically in iRacing in a Friend League or on AC running whatever local...
The TC car doesn’t overheat. They actually often had to tape up vents to keep fluid are optimal operating temps — even on very hot days,
I believe this specific car also competed in the 25Hr of THill — thus the E0 designator.
