i have japanese headlights on order, even though visibility will be trash šŸ˜†

they were only $1352 shipped for both thanks to the yen tanking
Did you get these specifically for the clear side markers? What do you mean about visibility? Is the light output significantly different?

Light output is the same, the way the lights are focused on the road are going to be different, because of the switch from LHD to RHD

Lol, won't you blind oncoming traffic in the US if that's the case? Unless the lights are somehow adjustable.

lol yes, i got them for the clear marker...i hate amber markers on any car.

the visibility will be worse because it's aimed for a rhd car, i am used to it with my itr, granted that had hid's and not led's so don't think it'll be as bad

my buddy is stationed in japan so i was able to have him order them from a dealership there and send them to me via dhl

that will have to be from a euro car, the rear fog on these is pretty cool though...just not worth the wiring for one though

So to make some more mud of this little bit of clarity...( In Canada only) I got a reply email today from the Sales manager at a Wpg. dealership who basically said they had met with Honda last week and they had "done the ordering process for me", and I dont have to do anything... He said they had 8 allocations (which he had originally said was year 1) but that that would be for the 3 years of the run. 2-3 this year, and 2 more each other year.

Soooo, lottery or not? mix of both? I'm pretty confused by now and will just have to wait and see. I think I"m 5th on their list with a deposit so would only get one "maybe" in 2 years, perhaps 3.. Long time to wait. Might have to buy something else in the meantime.

I just spoke to another dealer today, who said their rep told him Honda would be ā€œhandpicking stores to receive the Type Rā€ and that deliveries would start in late November depending on when a store gets selected…

Who knows the validity of this, but figured it’s something.

probably "handpicking" based off of data, like dealerships that push high civic sales.

Fwiw... Dealers don't have 23 Civics yet or pricing for them on any trim level. It can't be far off however.

So I’m guessing this is gonna be aā€¦ā€we don’t have anythingā€ one day, and ā€œthey’re hereā€ the next, kinda situation…

Well... it will be that way for the pricing anyway.

true but they do have allocations and build dates. I have a 23 SI allocated for a October build November delivery. Maybe that’s when the Rs will roll out as well

Yup. The last two orders have been for 23 Civics. So they have been in the pipeline for two months.
