Its pretty bad. Another example is im fourth in line at one area dealer and asked him to confirm - put the phone down, came back 20 seconds later and said no I was not on the list and tries to sell me on an si - then i told him about the text i had from the other sales person that agreed to my placement and he quickly hung up. Ass hats.
Did you place any deposit or just text with the salesman that your fourth in line??

cause this also happen to me I was screw over by the sale associate that I was 3 in line and I confirm today was never really a list that he put me on was all bullshit so I asked to talk to the new car manager he said there is a list and 12 people on the list with 1k deposit already. He said if any conversation with sale associate in email/text/phone it doesn’t matter they can tell you that your # XX in line to be officially you need to place a deposit to be in line.At least for this dealer that’s their process.

I have a deposit and email confirmation as #2 at another dealership so i see this as a fallback and quite frankly would not buy from the #4 dealer now - fk em - ill buy a type s if it comes down to it.

I've been lurking a lot so I feel like I have to contribute now.

Dealers in NOVA are not willing to lower from 10k ADM. One dealer called and said they were willing to negotiate if I came in person. I stopped by after work and big surprise, "take it or leave it".

Smaller dealerships are more willing to go with 5k ADM (which I'm ok with) but they don't know when they'll be getting allocation. Looks like I'll have to keep calling

Happy to report I was wrong about allocations. Just saw more drop. I'm speaking about MD, VA, PA. Haven't looked at more.

Whitboy whats your best dealer offer in TX so far? I'm def waiting for batch two to get below this 10k adm nonsense.
I had a few dealers I was dealing with, including the one in Ft Worth. I was seeing 10k to 20k everywhere I went. But a week ago, I decided to bite the bullet on the last 2022 Miata Club with Brembos/Recaros, and it just arrived from Cali a few days ago. Would have loved the Type R, but as much as I tried, I just couldn’t pay 60k for one. The Miata was always right there and the price finally just pushed me in its direction completely.

Also... nearly all are Boost Blue. I mean like 70% or more.

Of course not. Just stating facts you old knob
Opinions aren't facts you young whipper snapper!

I would rather have this free market with the opportunity to buy the car I want today then to wait around for years "to buy at msrp" thanks to government price fixing with the likely possibility that I will never get a new car because of the extremely finite supply aka Canada. And then get bent over for every tax imaginable on the purchase. Don't mind my ramblings I am 87 years old and haven't had my morning oatmeal yet.
