The fantastic news is that MY 2023 will need to be swiftly cleared from showroom floors as soon as MY 24 starts arriving or even upon the official announcement of MY 24. I highly doubt anyone will be willing to pay any ADM for a '23 at that point.
This does not apply to the FL5, as long there hasn’t been major a refresh or update between model years most enthusiasts don’t care about the year. There’ll be zero difference between MY23 & MY24 so ADMs will still be applied to both model years.

This logic will definitely apply next year since the MY25 is going to get refresh/update.

It looks like there are now over 500 FL5s in play in US based on Motoring Obsession. Is that a record.? I have been watching since August and don't recall seeing it that high before. Still difficult to find and get something for $5k or less ADM in Midwest (KC and adjacent states/cities).

Is it still about a month from seeing the car show up on the website to being delivered to dealer?

Definitely a strong final push for 2023’s. 230 new cars in transit in the last week alone. Last big push was Aug 9th with 250 cars.

Wrong. I’ve offered every dealer 6k and no one would bite. Found one for 7.5 this Saturday and pulled the trigger. This does not apply to Cali at least

It doesn’t apply in America lol. Not a single dealership is rushing to get rid of their FL5 at the moment.

Makes sense because Midwest is pretty much the slowest to get allocations versus the coasts, so there’s fewer for sale in the region. For example, my dealership got my car in mid Feb (first allocation). They just got their 2nd allocation last week.

I have to respectfully disagree with your assessment here. It's crucial to emphasize that many enthusiasts, myself included, indeed place great importance on the differentiation between the 2023 and 2024 models. Even if there's no officially confirmed change between the two years (which, by the way, is still speculative at this point), I'd unquestionably opt for the 2024 model over the 2023 if both come with a $5k ADM, simply because it's the newer option.

The reasoning behind this preference is not solely about the 'newness' factor but also the potential improvements made by Honda under the hood. Many parts may appear identical and function similarly, but it's a common practice for manufacturers to supersede and update components, addressing hidden quirks and issues. Consequently, the 2024 model might hold unexpected advantages that make it a more appealing choice for enthusiasts like us.

Which part is “wrong” exactly? - The MY 2024 hasn’t even been announced yet.

Plenty of people still paying adm for 23’s. Hype and demand is still very high. Dealers aren’t exactly giving it away

Let's clarify that I never suggested or implied that dealers would be 'giving it away,' nor did I insinuate that ADM would miraculously disappear. You may want to re-read the post you were replying to and pay closer attention to what was written.

yah, CA is harder, but if you can wait, there is still the end-of-year financial goals that some of these dealers want/need to make. With so many more cars coming in, AND each sale is taking one more buyer off the market... there is a huge chance you can get a great deal in November/December.

I had originally been concerned that altho the prices would drop at the end of the year before the books closed at the dealerships... there wouldn't be enough inventory to make it easy to get one -- that you would have to be really on top of it to snag that deal. But now, with so many cars PLUS several dealerships with multiple cars in-house or in-transit... it looks like there would be a decent chance for those who are still looking...to get a $5k or even better deal.

Note - if you're in the north... try to get a set of winter or all-season tires as part of the deal -- you will need those if you buy in the winter. :umbrella:

No one said 'no' ADMs... but we have had some people from CA and other normally high-price markets, post here lately that they have scored with only 3-5k ADMs. Multiple people. But, it's been happening for sure.

Interesting, was this in SoCal or NorCal? I got at email offer from a Honda dealer at 52,100 without any negotiation. They would be willing to do 51,000 on the spot when I went in and would do 50,500 if I financed through them. This was just this week. Also had another offer of 51k last month on a CW.
