Honda is aware and are working on a new way to track progress for dealers. It wasn't explained in any more detail than that to me.

I was told by my salesman that i have a VIN but the car is still pending to be built.
Does this sound right?
That doesn’t appear to be the case with the Type R tho. We all got VIN’s AFTER the cars were already at the Port.I read this:
Your VIN is assigned when your vehicle is scheduled for production. Once you have a production week, contact your dealer for your VIN.Nov 22, 2020
