Hey people,
I got my used 23' Si about 4 months ago. When I got it, it was bone stock and looked like this:
so i made some changes in 4 months:
ktuner v2 with TSP stage 1 tune (18/21lbs)
27Won short ram intake (will have the cold air version soon as they send it to me)
gloss black bumper trim (around fog lights and lip)
paint protection film on front bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors.
ceramic coated myself using Adams polishes advanced graphine coating.
35% ceramic tint
ventshades from ebay, the ones that have the hooks to hold on to door (the ones that only use tape to stay on come off during car washes)
Aodhan AH08 18x8.5 +35 19.6lbs wheels
OEM Eagle sport tires ( until they ware out and I get some nitto's)
Eibach pro kit (says it lowers F-1.2 R-1.0, but it actually lowered me about double that.
Sirimoto front adjustable balljoints for front camber correction.
Sirimoto rear upper control arms (teloscopic) for rear end camber correction.
Now the car looks like this:
So in lowering the car while correcting camber, I was able to retain a very OEM like driving experience, with better handling. I would NOT ever lower a car and not correct the camber. I hate uneven tire wear and I absolutely hate how twitchy cars can be when they have negative camber. Please note that even with the eibach pro kit, I had to max out both the factory camber adjustment bolt in the front AND the adjustment from the new adjustable balljoints to correct a total of 3 degrees of camber from the drop springs. Same for the rear. You will spend an extra $300 in parts but will get a perfect install doing it the right way. On the wheels, the +35 offset and factory tires on an 8.5" wheel coupled with this drop has meant absolutely no rubbing or scrubbing in any circumstances as far as I can tell. As far as the tune, I went with tsp1 to be easy on the car while its still under warranty. after my warranty is out, I will go to either tsp2 OR pherable tunes after upgrading the head studs and clutch. I will also be doing the downpipe and intercooler at the same time.
If anyone has any questions I havent answered here, let me know. There was a good bit of research and trial and error I had to go through for such a good end result, so I wanted to share with the community if you have similar goals for your XI Si.
