Is the scrub radius unaffected by a thicker sidewall and overall larger tire diameter?

I'm leaning towards eventually getting a thicker tire (265/35 sound pretty good) but very hesitant to disturb the original OEM suspension performance and characteristics.
Almost negligibly. A 235/35R18 with a wheel that's ET45 (and most 18"s are 45mm or even less) will impact scrub radius a lot more, and make handling worse in general.

Anyone have experience with this? How does it look?
I changed to 265 35 19 (on stock wheels) Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus after blowing 2 of the OEM tires. The potholes in the DMV area are killer. Looks the same to me but definitely a different when hitting bumps. More tire so more cushion. OEM tires handle better.

What tire pressure are you running on them?
