Last time we talked about road trips and found that everyone pays great attention to car maintenance, and pre-trip checks are an essential part of the process (checking tire pressure, rims, car battery, changing oil, etc.). In regular life, what vehicle conditions do you guys care about most, for safety reasons or personal hygiene needs?

Let's share how much vehicle maintenance do you actually do.

Please select the maintenance tasks you have already completed or are sure you can complete this month. (This is a multiple-choice poll)

After voting, please leave a comment below:
How many items did you complete in total? What do you think is the most important? Share your experiences and little skills in thos thread.

Winner Pick Up:
We will pick up one winner on 29th Jan. The user with the most likes in the comments section is winner!

Prize: A set of 3W car mat

4 out of 6. We don’t get snow, we don’t get rain…but what we do get is a ton of dust! And it sticks to every imaginable surface inside the car and it’s exceptionally hard to keep up with!

Completed 5 items. In California so we don't see (much) snow. Windshield fluid is the most important given how small the tank capacity is!!

I live in Midwest, so all the items were done last week, literally before snow storm 👌
For me the most important to keep the car clean from salt.

5 completed on my end in preparation for snow in PA. Just did this when I had the car in for the Acuity short shifter, then had it professionally detailed/waxed including door sills/jambs.

I pretty much do every single item. I'm meticulous about taking care of my daily driver. I'd say the most important is an item not listed; checking the oil level.

Obviously the others are important, but not catastrophic. Unless your floor mat is in the way of the gas/brake pedal...that's not good and I've seen videos of people crashing through buildings from stuck floor mats.

5/6 here in SoCal we don’t get snow besides last year which lasted maybe a few hours near higher elevation areas.

I think checking mats it probably a big one especially if you have passengers or kids often they’ll shift around or the edges get stepped on. The OEM weather mats are okay, but still let too much dirt and dust on the sides and pedal area since they don’t go all the way up the side which sucks.

On top of that waxing/sealant on a car makes a big difference when it comes to parking your car outside 24/7. The sun can mess up your steering wheel/clear coat/dash area/trim if left unprotected especially in triple digit weather. A nice quick detailer spray in between washes is nice to have in the trunk whenever the dust starts to want to stick on your car.

Easier to stay on top of this stuff than wait until it gets really bad.

Another SoCal owner here, all the choices except cleaning snow. I even clean behind the door bottom weather seals. The door water drains are behind this seal and dust/dirt loves to buildup in this area. Bad spot for a drain IMO.

My car has been sitting since the snow started here. I only have driven it once out in the crap weather, so I just cleaned up the salt.

Mines new and I haven't swapped tires yet, so I just checked pressure and put my baby in the garage
