Activating wireless CarPlay/AA on a non-equipped car?

Has anyone tried this on the base models that aren't specced with wireless CarPlay from the factory?

You would need "CarlinkKit" for Apple and "Motorola MA1" for Android

I have a European spec "Sport". Not sure what the Northern American equivalent is (I think Touring). This option is working on my model, so I don't use the AAWireless dongle I bought before (for my previous Toyota Corolla 2019) anymore....
