I installed the cable bushings on my ‘19 Sedan Sport 6MT, and while not noticing an immediate difference I thought they improved overall shifting. The ‘22 Si shifter is incredible as compared to the Sport! I just ordered the same cable bushings and also the shifter mount bushings for the ‘22. They are carryovers from earlier models, doesn’t seem to be any ‘22 specific parts yet.
I would love to refine that already more crisp shift feel over the GenX Sport shift. Anyone else installed these bits on a ‘22?

Installed a few days ago on mine, noticeable improvement over stock, do it for sure, for me the biggest difference was 3rd to 2nd downshift is more smooth/direct
Mine came in today, I'll install this weekend. Did you get the shifter base bushings as well? I got both. They sent me a nice little pack of goodies in the box too! Only ever got a sticker one time. Got several different stickers, keychain, and air freshener :)

I did the cable bushings only, the rest of the stock shifter feels really good to me, if you end up doing the base bushing please let us know your thoughts!

Oh, maybe I should do them one at a time? See what they each do? Yeah, maybe I'll do that. Cable bushings first for a week, then do the base mounts. I never did the base mounts on the '19 Sport. I always thought I might swap the entire shifter for the CTR, but never did.

What needs to come off for install? On the CivicX 2.0L only the battery box, but I think the Si needed the intake pipe off. Looks like on the '22 Si just the Battery Box off and the intake can be worked around.

I installed the cable bushings a few weeks back and recently installed the base bushings. I only needed to remove the battery and battery tray for the cable bushings. Swapping the base bushings for the 11th gen are way easier than on the 10th gens. I only had to remove the shift knob and the shifter surround that holds the boot. I was able to get access to the 4 base bushings right from the top. Three of the bushings are super easy to change, the front driver side bushing is a bit of a bitch to swap but doable with some patience.

After have installed the Acuity cable and base bushings installed, its still not a huge change, but definitely an improvement. The shifter just feels more mechanical and direct. I was afraid they would make the shifter feel more notchy, but not at all, still very slick shifting.

Thanks for the confirmation. I didn't do the 10th Gen base bushings, but I saw a video on it and it looked like a PITA! I swapped out the shifter boot on my '22, so I've had that apart and it looked like pretty good access to the base. That's why I sprung for the base bushings this time.

I got the cable bushings in this morning. Feels a bit crisper in shifting. Probably do the base bushings tomorrow morning. Biggest issue I had was the battery being out threw all the codes after reassembly. I figured driving it would reset everything. After about 10 minutes of nothing changing I thought I should at least head towards the dealer. Just before I got there I stopped and shut it off for a few seconds. After restarting it was fine, zero codes. I thought it would reset while running, but I guess not.

I got the base bushings in this morning, relatively straight forward as noted. The driver front is tough to get to. I ended up taking off the front cubby. With it out (just clips) I could take out the screw at the front, then the side of the center console is much more flexible. After I put it all back together and started I got yet another warning light about the parking brake. Never touched the battery and didn’t start the car with anything unplugged. Shut it off and confirmed the switch was plugged in. Drove it down the street to a parking lot and the warning stayed. I hadn’t fully seated the panel so I reconfirmed the plug was locked in. Then unplugged it and checked all the pins and the plug was good. Plugged it back in and started the car with the warning still on and drove towards home. After a quarter mile or so the warning vanished.
Anyway, the shifter does feel slightly crisper now even over just the cable bushings. Also it’s raised ever so slightly. That’s what I noticed straight away. I think so, at least.
If it’s worth it, I’m not sure. It was an interesting project that got me into the car a bit. Scratched my DIY itch for a minute I guess…LOL
