The only "sensor" is for the airbag, you insert a resistor into the connector to get rid of the warning light.

I don't really get the point of swapping the seat unless you are a hardcore track rat or just want to have something diffferent. Heck, the OEM seat is a good part of why I bought the car to begin with - all my cars have had upgraded seating and the FL5 doesn't need any.

Also, I had an edirB seat and honestly hated it. No lumbar support and crazy narrow. Looked good though.

I have an ITS and looking into some seats because that's really my big criticism of this car ... these seats look amazing. similar but even more aggressive to the seats i had in my M3 CS ... and those were my favorite seats of all time (on track. a little rough ingress/egress for dailying).

I'm in the process of an installation vlog. Just figuring out the how to properly retain the honda srs system and keep it functional.

That's very simple, you need a resistor to cross the plug of the airbag harness - in my last car I just wedged one in. This is to eliminate the warning light. I do not know the recommended resistance for the FL5. There is nothing else you need to do to "retain the SRS" system.

I know of only one available aftermarket seat with an airbag, a version of the Recaro Sportster. I considered running one of those in my ND1 but figured that no airbag was probably as safe, or safer, than a generic one that wasn't designed for the car.

I'd shoot for a FL5 seat if you can, I'd *assume* plug & play. The lame seats of the ITS make it a no go for me without replacing them.

My experience with Bride/edirB seats was subpar and I would never recommend one to someone without sitting in it. Super narrow, no back support. The seat padding is beyond cheap open cell foam, it's embarrassing for such a supposed high-end product. Also, not actually full carbon fiber like you might be led to think (makes sense once you look at a legit full CF seat and see those are $5-7k each). I'll stick to Recaro.

good feedback, thanks! i would certainly want to try out some seats before ordering them. buckets are great for spirited driving/track but they get a little tiring on the daily routine, tough call. but yeah the ITS seats are somewhat disappointing although I kind of expected it. i think my
'23 civic si seats were better than those in the ITS. overall the car's great so not a total deal breaker. i've had some really great cars, but none has been perfect :)

My all time favorites seats were in my NA1, they were Mazdaspeed Type Fs which were Recaro SRDs which are still made as the Speed model. Easy to get in and out, excellent back support, and held me in perfectly.

OTOH, I had an edirB 032 in my ND1 and because the side thigh bolsters were so vertical getting in and out sucked. Plus the whole crazy narrow/no back support thing.

With my FL5 I just slide my seat back when I get out so it's easier, I sit very close normally so there isn't a lot of room otherwise between seat and steering wheel.

I hope you enjoy it more than I did! They look sweet for sure.
