Ohhh lol I get you now.

Well, apparently the labor charges were incorrect. I asked if they were charging 300+ an hr cause the quote seemed a little high and apparently he was working two quotes at once and carried over the labor charges from the other quote. Do I believe that? Maybe lol. But, this new quote is definitely something along the lines of what I was anticipating it was going to cost.

If you're getting a tune w/ this install, that's a really good price. If you're not, 1200 at $100 is 12hrs to install an intake and an intercooler....... Call your car guy friends and have an asada party w/ bevergaes of choice.

$600 to remove two resonators is still far from home, IMO. If they're making a flanged section out of the old and new, giving you the ability to return it to stock, then I'm all for it. If they're doing a cut and paste, save me the royalties, not worth more than $200, to me.

See attached image. Labor costs seem like 2x as much as what they should be.

I'm figuring 3 hours for the intercooler, 1.5 for the intake, and 1.5 for the res delete. At $175/hr that’s $1050…

I'd charge you $150.00 to do your intercooler and intake, and likely have it done in about 45 minutes.

He’s charging $160/hr for labor, $200/hr for fabrication work. He’s assigning 8 hours worth of labor. He is also removing the exhaust to do the res delete. He’s not just cutting it while it’s still on the vehicle. This doesn’t really include a custom tune. He’s just doing the Flashpro. I personally was thinking this work would be like $4k but from what I understand, it’s a reputable Honda turned shop. He’s booked out until April.

Are you buying the intercooler and intake from this shop or are you providing it to be installed?

cost of tools was far cheaper than cost of that labor

if you dont feel comfortable and have fear of breaking something maybe its ok if you have assurance that its a reputable mechanic that is known to do good work maybe its a little expensive but ok

In the end, if you're ok with it, that's all that matters.

You can literally do most of those mods in your driveway in a short period of time to save on labor costs.

Take car to a muffler shop and pay $150-$200 for resonator delete.
