Hi all!
I’m excited to announce that I’m helping develop the first shim-adjustable rear toe arms for the FL5, FK8, and DE5 chassis. TCR race cars use shim-adjusted arms, and I’ve long wanted a similar solution for our street cars. After more than 30 track days in my FL5, testing each modification individually, I’ve reached the point where the factory arms and their rubber bushings were limiting rear-end response during high-lateral-load corners. In turns such as Bishops at Sebring, the car does not respond immediately because the bushing must first deflect and settle under load. This delay between the applied force and the car’s response is known as “phase lag.”
Recently, at a local track day, I met Sven from Meisterschaft Motorsport Engineering and explained what I was experiencing. We quickly began developing a solution. Sven’s experience working with leading motorsport teams confirmed that the shim-stack design is proven in competition, including TCR and GT3 Cup cars. After further discussion, I offered my car and driving feedback to support development and testing. The rear toe arms are only the beginning. Additional products now in development include shim-adjusted rear camber arms, spherical-bearing trailing arms, and, ultimately, a billet-aluminum rear lower arm.
To begin production and continue testing, we need at least 10 reservation orders. We will make the final production decision on Friday, October 16, 2026. If at least 10 reservations remain active on that date, we will move forward. Reservations withdrawn before the deadline will not count toward the minimum. If fewer than 10 reservations remain, we will either proceed with production or automatically refund every deposit, and we will notify all participants of the decision.

Most adjustable toe arms are threaded: turn the rod end, lock it with a jam nut. The setting is held by thread friction and the clamp of that nut, so it depends on correct torque and on counting turns to keep both sides equal. The rod ends also have to be clocked so each ball sits in the middle of its travel before the nuts go tight. Lock one at an angle and the bearing runs against its limit, binds, and wears out early.
This arm sets its length with a stack of shims clamped between the arm body and the bearing end. The length lives in solid metal and the bearings are pressed in at a fixed angle, so there is nothing to clock. Each shim is a fixed step, the same stack gives the same length on both sides, and a setting can be changed and put back exactly without an alignment rack.
