Bringing this back from the dead. @COBB Tuning will the AP void warranty? I know that’s a loaded question since there are many variables. And is it considered CARB legal? I’m located in CA, used to run an AP on my 2009 before I sold it and liked the ease of use. I might return my hondata fp since the AP is more familiar to me and I don’t plan on adding a bunch of hp anyway.

Hey KRUzer! Great question!

One of the benefits of the Accessport is the ability to uninstall the device using the "Uninstall" option from the main menu. This will revert the car back to stock and can help prevent complications with dealer tools communicating with your vehicle.

That being said, the Accessport is not designed to go around any kind of warranty coverage. At the end of the day, it really comes down to how your local dealer handles modifications to the car: some don't mind a few mods and others don't like any.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Thanks. Yeah, that’s what I’ve read, too. Maybe I’ll wait a bit until I start tuning it.

If you are concerned about warranty, don't tune it. Honda can see it was flashed even if they flash it back to stock. This is not some unique feature from COBB to put the stock tune back on a car. COBB still needs to unlock the ECU.

How is the drivability of the tune? Is it like driving a stock car.

At low loads seen during every day driving, yes it's just like driving a stock car. The real notable difference is when you start leaning into the throttle over ~3k RPM. Power delivery is just as smooth as stock, there's just more!
