Done it, hate the pump in sound. Worth taking it out. Or did you mean the volume auto adjusts? That I turned it to medium so not as noticeable since the fake pump in sound is out now.

How did you disconnect the pumped in sound? You take the grill off?

Well recommended, I just disconnected it. Takes maybe 30mins total and you don't need to pull the entire upper section out.

I really want to disconnect the cringe fake noise, but have learned the hard way how easily the dash is permanently dented/marked so I’m very weary about pulling the center section. If there’s a way to do it without prying on the center section I’d love to know how.

I tried doing it without pulling the vent section and didn’t have any luck. Hoping someone can show us if it’s possible but I have up before doing any damage.

I had to pull the vent. There's a screw there, you'll have to do it unless you got someone with small hands and can get in there and unplug it.

use cloth and pry tool. If you're having problems what i did was remove the side piece passenger side first then slowly pried out the vent all the way. What I mean by this is, there's this flat plastic piece that in the video he pries off at like 2:17. I took that off first. It took a thin pry tool to slowly get it out without damaging anything. Once you get passenger side out becomes easier to get the rest of it out.
