I couldn't find quite what I wanted for splash guards, so I decided to make a set. The worst part was sorting out the fastener pattern, and coming up with a way to add one more fastener to to each piece to keep it from flopping around. I chose HDPE material from Menards which is the same stuff most cutting boards are made from with a 0.1" thick, 24"x36" sheet costing only $20. I'll likely make another set with tweaks to the general shape after I live with the first iteration for a few weeks.

Looks great! I’ve been considering the same thing, but I can’t find the plastic at my local Menards.

Just had my PPF guy add film to the rear after doing the whole front end in Xpel Ultimate.

Nice, I like the cleaner look of PPF over mudflaps, but I have a short bit of gravel to cover to reach the pavement so I went with the flaps to eliminate any mud slinging.

Save yourself the hassle. For less than 120$, you get the toughest and better lasting material possible (polyurethane), no need to drill any hole, a tight mesh that actually filters out road debris and you can adjust the flaps to poke out more or less, however you prefer.

Version #3 is now out with updated features and hardware. No more 3M tape required. Website and install guide will be updated this weekend, since we just finished the project last Friday.
