Yeah, that’s the guy! Didn’t know he had a YouTube channel too lol.

Thankfully I also have a bigger turbo, bigger inlet with true 3” diameter all the way to the compressor and aftermarket air intake. All that should definitely enhance the noise, if I do end up running this haha.
I currently have the FK8 version on mines now and I ordered the FL5 version last week from Two Step. I was able to get very little flutter while recirculating so I've been venting to air for the last 2 years. Maybe the flutter will be more noticeable with the new location.

I actually already have a little bit of flutter noise with my aftermarket bypass valve and upgraded turbo. It’s not crazy noticeable but I can definitely hear it whenever I let off the throttle/shift.

I wonder how the recirculating kit would sound like when paired with my setup.

Im really curious if this or HVI would give a louder turbo sound with no other mods... Seems like a good option for CA as far as looking more OEM hahaha

These are finally out! Anyone who got one installed able to post some video clips and their setup, both with windows up and down?

Still debating getting this but worried it'll be too quiet with recirc

I did the prl HVI first and it made the BOV very noticeable.

Then I got a tune which made the BOV even louder than everything else.

In saying that, I think the HKS SSQV would change the BOV noise rather than the BOV noise level.

I’ve had the HKS SSQV on multiple big turbo SRT4s back in the day as well so I’m familiar with them.

Downpipe and intercooler upgrades (OEM end tanks are plastic) made big differences in spool/turbo noises as well if that’s what you’re going for.

I've seen YouTube videos of the PRL and with the windows up you don't hear much

Remember the demo video had the factory air intake and inlet which has a resonator (black plastic cover) and both reduce induction noise. This car is sold worldwide so they would have to comply with the usual noise regulations or laws. This also the reason why the exhaust is so quiet from factory too.

But once you add a dedicated aftermarket air intake and aftermarket inlet, you’ll definitely hear more induction noise when you pair the HKS BOV in the recirculating configuration. Even upgrading your filter to an aftermarket one while still using the OEM air intake has a noticeable increase in noise.

A few pages ago, someone posted a video of Kodawari.FK8 and he’s running the BOV with recirculating kit. He paired with
PRL Intake/Inlet and turbo, and it’s definitely loud compared to HKS’s demo video. He has cabin and drive by videos as well for reference.

It’s louder then you think, the camera microphone just isn’t picking it up as much. Coming from experience.

In person I’m like damn that sounds good. Then I watch my video and I’m like wtf happened it’s so quiet lol

That's good to hear... im rocking a single exit tomei which isn't too loud. Do you think the BOV or the intake would be a better source of sound?

I would go intake personally. It makes spool and bov sounds at least 10 times louder then stock
