FL5 Resonator Delete and high flow cat

I just stumbled across a few videos of Type r Owners doing resonator deletes and it makes me think this is a good stop gap solution until i can purchase a full exhaust system.

Which resonator delete produces the most sound while still not being too droney?

I plan on putting a catted dp on in the future as well and don't want it to be too crazy.

I have the TSP downpipe with the front resonator deleted. I think it sounds decent. I notice a drone in the first 2 gears during a short RPM window (never paid attention to where), but after that I don’t notice it.

Obviously, deleting the larger resonator will yield more sound coming through. With that said, I deleted the larger resonator on an otherwise completely stock exhaust and found no drone whatsoever. Been running this way with the fuse pulled for about a month now. I'm content and currently have no desire to change it for anything else.

You can always do it in step and chop off the smaller resonator first. It'll give you approx. 10% noise gain at most.

Note that noise and drone is subjective. What may be "horrendous" drone to one person could very well be a nothingburger for another.

I have the TSP GESI catted pipe. I understand some other catted pipes with a lower cell count might be slightly louder.

I just deleted my mid resonator yesterday, did the first start up, immediately put the car back on the lift and deleted the front one too. I know that some people may like having something quieter but imho, i think this is how the car should have came from the factory. The 3 mufflers in the back do a great job to tone down raspyness and drone. And in all honesty in light cruising sometimes it feels like the resonators are still in, thats how quiet it can still be. Just my thoughts, deleting front and mid resonator gives the closest effort towards an exhaust system and at this point i dont think i need one lol
