FL5 struggling to start on the first try each morning

I’ve got a 2025 Honda Civic Type R FL5 that’s giving me a hard time starting first thing in the morning. I changed the battery and also changed the keyfob battery maybe something to do with the fuel pump? I have to fight ir a few times to get the car running, and it only happens when the car is off overnight once I manage to turn it on it never does it again throughout the day

None for now I barely had the car its been like 5 months that I bought it and its not used I bought from a honda dealer

So why not just take it to them to fix? If it is new, it should all be under warranty. I know a lot of people don’t trust the dealer, but INr had my fair share of crappy experiences at shops as well.

Your right but the issue is that ive already gone to them like 2 times once the changed the battery and the other they said that the starter cable connection was loose, but I think mainly the issue is fuel pump Because If I turn it (acc on not engine) and wait like 8 seconds it starts fine maybe a pressure issue and I just need to have patience lol

You shouldn't have to wait eight seconds. I've had a 24 and now a 26 and neither one has done what you're describing. There's definitely something not right. I get in it and start it no problems.

When you say it struggles to start, does it turn over normally, but the engine doesn’t fire up? And does it run roughly after it eventually starts?

Is it cranking slow? why did you replace the battery? how many miles? have you done anything to the electrical system (wire in a radar detector, extra lights, have a potato hooked up between the negative terminal and the battery)? what kind of weather are we talking about here?

to me it sounds like you have something draining the battery (parasitic drain) and then your alternator works to charge it up enough to get your through the rest of the day. Sometimes on low batteries if you "warm it up" by leaving it in acc for a sec before trying to start, you can get enough power sent to the computers and shii to get it going. I am just guessing.

If the car is not throwing codes, it's best to leave the car overnight with the dealer to duplicate the issue.

What exactly is it doing when you're trying to start it? Does it seem to be electrical or something else?

This can be a symptom of a failing head gasket. Have you looked at the exhaust while it's cranking?
