someone on Instagram posted a picture of the back to of these forged wheels and they are made in Taiwan, not Japan  who in Taiwan makes wheels? Titan?
Wheels are made by Super Alloy (you've probably never heard of them), Made in Taiwan is not a bad thing, many things you use everyday have parts that came from Taiwan.

The 2nd largest semi-conductor manufacturer in the world, is located in Taiwan.

5 lbs savings isn't enough for that kind of money and forge process. The best thing you can do is lighten the wheel weight, I think you can do better in the aftermarket if you can find the right size wheel.
20 lbs all around is a big deal and especially if it has to meet or exceed OEM specifications

Not saying it's bad...probably better made and QC than China, but still hoping for Made in Japan...agreed that just cause these wheels are made in Taiwan do not mean they are bad product.

Funny enough, the stock wheels are made by Kosei in Japan.

I can't wait to see them on the car, so I can only imagine how stoked you are. Pictures tonight, possibly?

A little off topic but can a complete set of wheels and tires without boxes fit the the FL5? looking to understand if I can use the car to get the new aftermarket wheels and tires to the tire shop.

I have the stock set...as soon as my cargo mat comes in, I'll see if I can load the wheels...
on side note, the stock wheels are not that much heavier than the forged wheels.
Stock wheels: 204.2 lbs - 151 lbs = 53.2 lbs tires and wheel.
1st pic below...will try to get some outside pictures later today:
oh, tires are Yokohama AD08R 265/30/19.

EDIT: also, tires does not seem as stretch as the PS4S.
