Seems like you were running into this issue only while the car was off?

I'm no expert or anything but my experience with dry shifting always has a bit of resistance and clunkiness as nothing is moving and there's no lubrication being run through the gearbox.

If that wasn't the case then you can ignore my input.
No Sir, that was not the issue.

I had the HR shifter in my 07 FA5 Si (180K miles) and I loved it.

I installed the HR shifter in the FL5 a week after I purchased it, and I also installed the HR shifter cable bushings.

I did not experience any issues with the HR shifter after installing it in the FL5, though I have not built up any muscle memory on the OEM shifter and I cannot compare the HR to the OEM shifter since I did not drive much using the OEM shifter.

Also, since I was still in the break-in period, I drove it very gently (slow and deliberate shifts, no hard accelerations, etc) for the first 600 miles and ramped up to 1,000 miles.

I now have 6,500 miles on the HR shifter in the FL5, no issues what so ever.
Good. I have no issues either. I had a question/concern about the initial ability to go to the right of 5th, hence missing the shift while car was off. From that missed shift location I could go straight down into reverse and at the time felt way to easy to get there.

Since driving that concern has gone away. Thanks

There seems to be an interlock to prevent going into reverse while driving.

I have had the Hybrid Shifter for over a year now and never experienced this issue. I do have the shifter bushings, and their HD detent springs. I also run it in the shortest gate and shift spacing setting since I run the tallest shifter rod and knob.

You may want to try the HD detent springs as they will provide slightly more resistance on the side to side and front to back.

I would not classify my concerns as an issue. I appreciate the recommendations. After driving the car, I am not having any immediate concerns. Consider this matter closed. Thanks everyone.

I picked up the Hybrid because when I bought it, I did not necessary read anything negative about it. In addition, I love the solid one peice (long form) competition shift rods, and the look of there assembly.

I want to be clear. After taking the car out for the first time. I do not have anything negative per se to say about the Hybrid. I was just looking for validation that what I was feeling on initial install was normal and apparently it was.

No issues to report as of yet. All seems well, and I love the look/feel.

May try an Aquity next season.
the Hybrid does look great in the pics I've seen.

I think it looks awesome. I have the black one with the burnt titanium comp. Shifter rod.
