Finally picked up my 23’ CBP Si last Saturday! I put down a deposit for a Type R and a 23’ Si. I was 1st in line for a Si and 10th in line for a FL5. The buying experience was pretty good. I was in & out in a little after an hours time including a short test drive to make sure no issues exist. The car looks amazing in person! I think I’ve only seen Car & Drivers orange Si around town but these 11 gen Civics look similar to begin with. The car had 2 miles on it when I got there & the only issue I saw was a light scratch on the drivers door handle but that’s not a big deal to me since I can get it out. The interior looks great also. I really hoped for heated seats/steering wheel when they released 11gen Si details but but oh well.
I only have 33 miles on it so far (I’m on vacation) but at the moment I’m not so disappointed with half digital/analog cluster. The analog gauge is still bright & looks great so that was good to see. The car is so easy to drive…. the clutch uptake is easy and I was able to drive it without stalling haha. My Evo X is manual but I don’t drive other manuals so that thought was always in the back of my head. I did test drive a 9th gen 10 years ago before I got my X but I opted for the X at that time.
The 23’ Si steering feel seems to be heavier than I anticipated but I’ll keep driving it to see how it goes. Seats feel fine at the moment. I made a spare tire kit with the OEM spare wheel/lug wrench/tool holder, a tire from tire rack & a jack from Amazon. I also installed a Blackvue 900XPlus front/rear dashcam because people crazy. I’m hoping for trouble free fun filled miles as I opted for this over an EN before I go FL5 eventually.
