Given the monumental size of this achievement, I decided to celebrate by ordering a new set of (used) wheels and (new) tires for the Del Sol.

Now I just have to wait to see which car my kid smacks with the other's door... :hmm:

Maybe park one car with the back in and closer to the other car so there is no way to even attempt opening the passenger side door.

Not a bad idea! I'm going to see where I get keeping the doors locked on both cars, the child safety latches on in the FL5, and hammering in "Dad opens the door, don't open the door, Dad opens it."

If that lesson fails to sink in, I could resort to letting him in/out in the driveway, but I trust my unaccompanied kid around a moving car about as much as I trust him with a live grenade.

This has all the makings of another "this is why we can't have nice things" lesson for both of us.

If you are really nuts hang a square of insulation panel with felt on each side from the ceiling between the two.

I live in NYC, sometimes when public spots are narrow, I park this way to prevent people even trying to get in on the passenger side.

Got new tires for the AP1 this week (Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02) and i'm still resisting the urge to mod the car. The only thing i'm changing next is all new fresh fluids, and possibly some. new. 2-piece brake rotors with some performance pads.

If you have TCT noises, contact Billman over on the s2ki forums. He's local here on Long Island, but he ships his modified TCTs worldwide I believe. A good valve adjustment might free up some power too. Take care of all the TSBs. ACT Prolite flywheel if you ever need to change out the clutch.

Thank you for the info! Fortunately no CCT noises, and motor feels very healthy. I've been checking the oil religiously too!

I just need new brake fluid!

I've been scouring craigslist.org/fb marketplace for months. Then this 1 owner car popped up at 10am one day, I emailed them and tried to buy it that day, but I guess they were bombarded with offers, but somehow they picked me!

Car looks good and well maintained. I would still recommend ordering one for future use and never have to worry about it.
