Are there any wheels that have a similar finish/design like OEM with the same offset that are lighter? I wish the OEM forged wheels option looked better.

I love the look of the stock wheels, would like to get something that looks similar, same offset, just 4-5 pounds lighter. Thanks for any input!

Bbs makes something similar and closer to factory offset too. I will lookup the model.

BBS FI-R or BBS RI-A are two wheels that come to mind that are similar in style to the OEM wheel and lighter weight. These wheels are also forged and you may be able to reuse the Honda centercaps. These wheels are in the 16-17 lb. range. Where this gets a little tricky, offsets. Anyhow, these wheels will save you ~9 lbs. per corner, which is a substantial weight savings.

Thanks for the feedback. The APEX and BBS look great. I suppose as mentioned the biggest difficulty would be trying to exactly match the stock offset.

Progress over perfection my friend. You're rarely ever able to check every single box.

The stock offset looks awful btw. +45 or thereabouts is where you'd want to be. Is the stock offset the best for a stock car from a performance standpoint? Maybe, but a +45 will look much better.

@TW00Si thanks for sharing. Could you feel a difference in the weight savings? I wonder if it’d be even more noticeable combing it with the lighter girodisc rotors, saving about 8 pounds per corner.

No, I couldn’t. I have the 18”, not 19”. But can’t tell a difference.

@TW00Si thanks for letting me know. Did you already do the lighter rotors as well?

As an FYI: Expect lighter, forged wheels to transmit more road noise.

That was the main difference I noticed on a previous car. I swapped OEM tires to the new wheels, so a back to back noise comparison. I know lighter weight wheels made the car quicker, but not noticeably so. I lived in FL, so the roads were not bumpy (difficult to assess suspension compliance differences), but road surfaces were often coarse.

I never thought about the additional noise. I was set on lighter wheels, but sounds like it might not be worth it. I’ll be interested to see @TW00Si ’s impressions with the lighter rotors if you do the swap.

I don’t know if the lighter allow more noise. But the difference in tires does for sure. I doubt I’ll notice any weight difference. The reason for getting it wasn’t for weight but for better heat dissipation.
