Good call, do you know the torque specs off hand?

I don’t. Based on that size bolt, probably in the 60s. The interesting part about this location is that the nut has a bracket that notches into the subframe to keep it from spinning. I would like to assume it was torqued from factory. Maybe the dealer messed with it based on the existing wear marks on the bolt heads. The car had 15 miles on it when I bought it new. It also had that steering recall already done.

I've never actually installed subframe collars (had a shop do it on my old car), but I have a feeling if they slot in there, that they might help a lot

Destructive testing research is how they know to replace them. You should listen to stuff like that. It could save your life and other people on the roads lifes as well.
