This is perfect and great whenever you have a chance are you able to also grab fuel Trims on just cruising for example at 50 or 60 miles per hour?

Then also at lower speeds such as 5 to 10 miles per hour like local Bumper to Bumper style traffic driving

Bro you are awesome! The short-term and long-term fuel trims, IAT and MAF voltage if it shows those?

Also how are you liking the intake? Is it super loud it sounds like it from the videos!

things didnt go as planned.. decided to check under the hood and realized that I need to adjust the intake more. in the process it seems in the process im more lean on LTFT.. im new to hondata and just realized i should have just hit the record button on the thing. the screen recordings are too much of a pain to deal with tbh lol.. ill get there.
I forgot to answer - i love the sound and the car definitely feels faster, but i seem to be having issues with getting the intake to sit in without anything rubbing (tube on hood/filter on front radiator support?)

I think part of it is learning is figuring it out. Were you able to get everything adjusted are you still kind of working on that

I want to address a post Dennis Smith made about the MST intake and also share some context from my side.

First off this group has always been about helping each other and figuring things out, not hiding issues no matter the brand.

Dennis brought up a legitimate concern, and instead of deleting the post or shutting the conversation down (like a lot of paid facebook groups probably would), we talked through it and worked the problem together. That’s exactly how things should work in a community like this.

Huge thanks to @John Vega one of the best tuners out there (phearable.net) who spent hours going through datalogs and troubleshooting with Dennis. Through the process, he was even able to identify a cracked MAF sensor just from an e-tune, and then helped narrow down what looks like a possible QC issue with the MAF housing seal on at least one unit.

For reference:
1st photo: Dennis’s unit (rough)
• 2nd photo: Example from my black MST intake (Smooth)

You can see how the inside surface of the MAF housing on the problem unit appears textured, which can prevent the o-ring from sealing properly. That can lead to abnormal fuel trims and the P0101 code Dennis experienced.

This is exactly why real-world testing by you guys the customers matter more than a companies "data" and open discussion matters.

The reality is that every product launch has some bumps early on. That’s normal in the performance world. What matters most is how those issues are handled. Because people in this group spoke up and figured out a real problem that can be fixed, MST is already looking at improving QC so issues like this can be addressed quickly.

I also want to thank Dennis for being honest about his experience. He wasn’t trying to bash the product he was trying to figure out the issue and help others avoid the same problem.

That kind of feedback is what actually helps make products better for everyone.

This group works because people are willing to test parts, share data, troubleshoot together, and improve things as a community and not just come here and shit on products when its convenientfor them.

Below is a photo of Dennis maf housing (blue) its rough and the black is my MST intake which is smooth.

No offense but if a company is investing time in delivering a new product to market, it should have already been engineered, tested and proven out of the gate. Were buyers made aware prior to purchase that they would be beta testers?

No offense but if a company is investing time in delivering a new product to market, it should have already been engineered, tested and proven out of the gate. Were buyers made aware prior to purchase that they would be beta testers?
im not MST man email them if you have issues with how they run their company. Every company has issues upon release not hard to search these forums and see other companies who released intakes recently that had to fix things after the first batch. The real testers are the customers and if there is issues how the company responds is the big one that matters. Nothing is perfect things can always be improved. And a few units out of across the world aren’t really that bad
