i've tried every 6 months since 2023 and it always says "no new updates available"
I noticed that part of the update process is to submit the post-update JSON file to Honda. I wonder if there is no valid entry for some VINs which prevents the upgrade process from completing.

It's Honda, and Honda and technology don't mix.

What I did was
  1. Switch connection type from smartphone to internet (disables wireless CP/AA)
  2. Connect to my phone as a wireless hotspot
  3. Go to software update on the main page and hit search for updates

While I can connect to my hotspot, it just throws an 6382 error when attempting to update.

Same for me when I use my home wifi router. No new updates available via USB. I'm on version "77CA-0068-121"

I wonder how much it is lagging. I just tried the USB update and got no new updates available, but my current system is newer than yours.

JSON:
"swInventory": [
    {
        "id": "RB_AUTO;;8A500T20 A5;;8A050T20 A5",
        "ver": "77CA-0075-121",

I've also heard it can automatically update when you pull into the service bay at a Honda dealership. I've been at least a couple times a year, so maybe it updated then.

but, it also seems to be the same version number as it was when i got the car. so who knows.
