This will be toward my journal which will be basic bolt on and impressions as progress through fl5 journey. Been wanting to buy this car due to the whole front wheel drive and able to just focus on the line of my driving instead of always wrestling the edge of grip compared to rear wheel drive.

Been searching for about 4-6 months for the car and in reality it really how much markup was I willing to stomach was my actual searching. I got an okay deal for it in July 2023. The car you can buy easily. I ended getting from Stockton Honda. I took a flight from socal to go to Sacramento and Uber to Stockton. The dealer experience was generic. Didn’t even test drive it.

I remove the larger resonator after a month and seeing the integra type s sound and was sadly disappointed with the result. I was trying to get more noise till I get the tune with downpipe. I wouldn’t do it again if I knew the noise would be negligible.

Added tint partially due to being in SoCal. I like having the privacy that comes with it and the car runs cooler, plus to me I think it gives it a more aggressive look.

I went to recent track day at Street of Willow to see how the car will do. I went to this track multiple times before. I was able to bring up consistent tracks times and was averaging 1:27 here. I do feel the rear lift easy at throttle lift at mid corner. The car does start to overheat after about three hot laps and kinda remind you to chill. Brakes are good and didn’t really overheat or had issue with it. I felt the car was easy to drive and did what you expect it to do. I don’t feel this car help you learn limits due to how easy to approach it won’t bite you in the butt due to the whole front wheel drive. I would like more grip and power and will pursing that on my evolution with this build.

I added swift springs and initially was getting a little bit of noise from the spring or part of suspension. After I brought it to swift in chino hills and the check it out and ended up being sway bar link was loose.

My impression was the spring was little stiff. But after driving on it for about two months. I notice the ride isn’t as stiff as stock. The car runs better on the hardest damper setting of road condition permits. I notice with the springs has a slight understeer but going over bump the feedback isn’t as aggressive. I am pretty happy overall with it. No rubbing at all

I went to Road race engineering to do baseline dyno. It made 300whp but I have a feeling number feel a bit inflated. I want to start doing power mods and wanted to see where it start.

I LOVE those CE28s. My favorite wheels I've seen on this car so far.

I had ce28 on my s2000 before. Originally I was looking for cheaper wheels but got a good deal on it so I was okay. Also wasn’t really looking at te37 because they almost seem like stock wheels for fl5

AGREED, 100%. How anyone can be self-aware and look at a set of TE37s and think, "I need to pay $4k for those" is just simply beyond my ability to comprehend.

CE28N is the choice of a connoisseur.
