Thanks for your report, Ben. You might want to run a check valve between the PCV can and the IM, PCV cans on other platforms do and Mishimoto does so on this one. Radium claims their can will withstand boost pressure, but I see no need for it to do so, and have seen a pic of their PCV can leaking.

I enjoy your channel, keep up the good work!
I think I saw the same picture that you are referring to. If I'm thinking about this correctly, the PCV side should shut under boost, and open under vacuum. Is this correct? And the CCV is active under boost?

Yes that’s how I understand the system works, the stock PCV valve should shut under boost, but that is not between the can and the boost pressure from the intake manifold.

So check valve from the IM side before the can is the recommendation?

Yes the flow should go:

Valve cover > PCV can > check valve > IM

You can see the valve on the longer hose in a Mishimoto kit:

This check valve makes me even more annoyed with Radium. Literally means that all three products that they offer for the Type R are......junk.

You should come out with a video so Radium can find out why their product sucks.

I assume you included the coolant tank based on the design.

I'd rather contact them directly and give them the chance to revise their products.

I have been running the pcv catch can for 20k miles and it has collected very little oil. I also noticed oil dripping when removing the intercooler. This was on stock turbo before upgrading to MHI2. So... Yeah I don't think it does much.

Which brand can, radium?

Could move discussion to another existing thread on the topic, seems radium anecdotally don’t collect as much as Mishimoto, if that’s an indicator of performance.

Yes radium. I just wanted to let ya know the oil in charge pipes won't improve.
I have read running 5/30 helps

On the hunt for some more camber, and these ball joints gave me tons! My preliminary alignment readings were over 4 degrees of camber, which is way more than I want! I have these joints set in the most aggressive setting and plan to move them to the middle setting instead! Install is pretty easy! Plan on an hour to an hour and a half! Car is on stock suspension with the strut pins pulled! My goal is to hit roughly -3.2 degrees of camber, which is easily doable with this kit!

Alignment alert!!! You will need one immediately following install!!!
