Question regarding shocks for 11th Gen SI

2025 Honda Civic SI
So I just bought Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs for my 2025 SI.

What is you guys' experience with these springs? This is my first time having lowering springs on a car and first time lowering a car period.

What should I expect in terms of ride quality? What should I expect in terms of parts that are going to wear faster? What strut and shocks can I upgrade to after going through my stock shocks?

I haven't done eibach prokits on the current gen si, but I'll let you know my prior experience on various other cars. They are only slightly stiffer and lower than OEM. They are a good compromise if you want more performance without sacrificing to much comfort and a lot of times the alignment stays in spec.. The OEM shocks/struts are fine with them. If you want more performance I have had good experiences pairing them with tokico and Koni Yellows (adjustable!), but KYB did not work well. The only thing that will wear out faster is your front bumper if you're not careful of scraping curbs and parking lot dividers.

The rears on our cars are super easy to change springs and shocks. Be careful of the fronts, you'll need a spring compressor and research the proper procedure. If you're not careful, releaseing that front spring could send you to the hospital.

Thank you for the reply. So from what I understand from your reply, the shocks/struts are gonna wear normally, maybe a tad bit faster? I’m assuming that’s for the other parts as well?

So theoretically if i wanted to, i can just keep replacing with OEM shocks/struts ?

Eibachs website even says "tested with factory dampers". They should last many years and many miles, almost as long as factory were supposed to last. There isn't much else that would wear out. I understand you're concerned for future maintenance but we are talking 10+ years away, more likely you'll have other unrelated issues before then and if you haven't moved on to a different car by then to.

They do suggest a camber adjustment kit, so budget for that if the alignment tech says its needed. You might also have to trim the factory foam bump stops (follow Eibachs instructions). Good luck and have fun.

How do these improve performance? Curious on them for myself. People who have installed them personally please.

We lowered my son's 1993 Corolla with aftermarket springs. Ride/handling was fine with stock shocks, but raised manhole covers on roads under construction were hard on the exhaust system.
We used adjustable camber bolts and a carpenters level to set camber. Toe was off by over 2 inches. I used a home-made toe gauge to reset toe, which was a pain due to rusted tierod ends. Only the front needed realignment on an old Corolla (Civic probably needs rear realignment too).
In the end it was fine (except for occasional manhole covers). I know it wasn't an Si, but you'll experience similar issues. Cheers!

I've had Eibach pro kit on 2 different 11th gen Civics. I can give some feedback here.

On my 2024 hatch EX I felt they were slightly too soft. Would bottom out too easily. I was super happy with the drop height, though.

On the 2025 Si, the first day I thought they were too stiff. After a couple of days I was hooked. The drop is PERFECT, the handling is amazing. Only downside, on both cars, is the squeaking/creaking noises over slow articulation like a speed bump. I heard adding grease between the rubber isolators and the spring helps. I'm used it now. Still highly recommend the Eibach springs all day.
