Rear Rotor and Brake Wear

For the rear I use Girodisc rotors and Paragon PBP1557 Brake Pads. No brake noise. Amazing performance. For the front, I use Essex AP Racing CP9660 with Ferodo DS3.12. Some noise, but if you keep them clean, you are fine.

Have you tried the paragon p3s for the rear? I was looking on the unity performance website and there's one particularly scalding review on the p3s that mentions switching to the akebono's. I can handle brake nosie, but also won't know until I try

No, I haven’t. I’m going to stick with Akebono because it fits my daily driving style, doesn’t leave messy dust on the wheels, and isn’t very expensive. Plus, I don’t have to worry about paying the JDM tax just because!

I just ordered a set of Akebono ACT1878 ceramic pads for the rear to try since they've been highly recommended on a few forums and FB groups, surprised how low the price is for them.

I'm currently using Dixcel M pads, but I got brake squeal at low speeds and its coming from the rear. I took the pads out to inspect the other day, pads seem to be wearing fine with a lot of pad left, but I saw the coating on the shims that come with the pads just shredded. Should've taken a picture.

How long have you had the Girodisc rotors and how are they holding up as far as corrosion goes on the non-swept parts?
