Yes it's always annoyed me too, really spoils the experience IMO. There was talk a while ago in this forum that it's to do with emissions control but I can't remember what precisely was said.

The only way I've found to sort it is simply to lift throttle a bit earlier than feels natural. Which is far from ideal.

@Jester04 did you not tune it out or is it not possible? I would have thought this, and the soft rev limiter, would be two things every tune removed TBH. Those are the only reasons I've considered a tune since I don't care about more power really.

It mitigates it but it does not completely remove it. I suspect the clutch delay valve is the culprit since it delays the release of the clutch. It makes it act like the clutch still pressed to minimize shock to the transmission. Also, another thing that can cause this is the way of the fly wheel. So these are the two things that I suspect can lead to RPM’s climbing on quick shifts.

But the tune gets minimizes the rev hang. I still suggest a tune since the extra power really makes the car more fun. You don’t have go for maximum power but the extra smoothness it provides it’s nice.

I was cursing at the car until I finally figured out how to definitely turn the Rev match off. Are you sure it's off? I don't seem to have the problem now. Maybe it's so much reduced that I didn't realize it's still there? Yet I go back and forth between CTR and a manual Subaru with box eng and i would think I'd notice if it was still doing it. I will pay more attention next time I drive it.

how'd you turn yours off? Is it different than just going into the infotainment under settings?

I have the issue as well. To me, it feels like a momentary delay in throttle closure. I don’t think the CDV is responsible, but I certainly could be wrong. It happens to me when letting off the throttle and pushing in the clutch in quick succession. My thinking is that if the CDV was delaying clutch disengagement, that would actually help this if anything because the load on the engine would be held just a fraction of a second longer, thus maybe preventing that quick flair up.
I deleted the CDV on my Accord because of the momentary delay on clutch pedal release/reapplying throttle, which just felt like the clutch momentarily slipping, which it was.
These 2 scenarios feel completely opposite to me. I can’t say I’ve even noticed any CDV intervention on the CTR.

FInally stretching my DE5's legs after break-in and noticed something peculiar under hard acceleration.

When upshifting 1 ->2 and 2 -> 3 , I noticed the revs jump ~500 rpm in between shifts. I thought maybe I was a little late to take my foot off the throttle but even after being mindful of that, it still jumps up a bit.

I'm finding I have to shift around that so as not to bang on the rev limiter. I been reading around and I've seen mention of rev matching but that doesn't make much sense to me. Also, this phenomenon happens even as I have the rev match feature off.

Is this rev hang? Is it just me? I'm not very familiar with it and never had this experience in any other manual car I've had. Granted, all my other cars have been N/A.
It happens to me occasionally from 4th > 5th .
