Was bored so did some quick calculations of max speed in each gear for the Type R Civic 2023 on factory tires and not accounting for tire diameter growth at speed due to centrifugal force.
Should be correct and I show the factors I used so anyone can double check me.
MPH = 1056 in/min
Wheel diameter = 25.3”
1 wheel rotation = 2pie r = 6.28*12.65 = 79.0625 inch/rotation
Max rpm = 7000
Ratios
1st = 3.625
2nd = 2.115
3rd = 1.529
4th = 1.125
5th = 0.911
6th = 0.734
Final Drive = 3.842
1st gear max speed = 37.6 mph
2nd gear max speed = 64.5 mph
3rd gear max speed = 89.2 mph
4th gear max speed = 121.3 mph
5th gear max speed = 149.7 mph
6th gear max speed = theoretical 185.8 mph
