I pulled the trigger and decided to install the full set of Spoon motor mounts. Hopefully they are worth the effort. Let me know if any of you guys have done the same. Is it worth it or to harsh?

I stuck a 70a 27juan motor mount on a CVT civic lol, I think at some point I stopped realizing the ride was harsh and it just became normal.

If you've already decided on the direction for the build and can handle it, I always think the ride change is worth it.

Yeah the ride feels just becomes normal. I totally understand what you are saying.

Does anybody have a comparison of this vs Hasport? Spoons description makes it sound like they solved the in cabin vibration in their description:

"Stiffening the engine mount to improve throttle response is known to be effective. However, if the engine mount is too stiff, the vibration from the engine can enter the cabin, making your car uncomfortable.

After accumulating data from our race car and from our street tests, SPOON SPORTS has successfully developed a set of engine and transmission mounts, improving throttle response without sacrificing comfort."
I'm looking to purchase a mount soon and was curious if this is a valid claim, or if I'm just going to be paying the Spoon tax.

Thanks!

I have these in my personal car... definitely less NVH than Hasport. The full set has less NVH than even the PRL RMM alone, which is pretty soft in comparison to Hasport and such.

If you want OEM+ like performance without a notable step up in NVH, the Spoon mount kit is likely a great option for you.

If you want racecar like feel where everything is fully stiff and vibrates a lot, it would not be the choice. :)

You think it's beneficial enough to warrant the price tag? I'm hesitant to go the PRL RMM because of more rattles due to NVH. But the NVH is negligible with the Spoon despite an improvement similar to (if not greater than) the PRL, I think I'd be ok with spending extra.

The experience is fairly similar, with PRL being a bit more aggressive. If you have a tolerance for the occasional slight vibration, you could argue that you could save a lot of money as well as the trouble of installation by going with the PRL option.

I have the PRL installed and the idea of having something in between stock and PRL for NVH sounds appealing, but for $900 + install costs I can live with the PRL. NVH is noticeable at start-up but after the engine warms up I rarely notice it. A/C kicking on it will become noticeable at stop lights, but again fades after it's been on for a while.

It's honestly not that bad. I was also afraid of doing it because I want my car to remain feeling like a street car. I only really notice it at idle with the AC on. If you have Hondata you can increase your idle a little and that helps.

The 1-2 shift is so much better that it's totally worth it.

I took the CTR on a 600km road trip and it was very comfortable. With the hasport rear motor mount at idle you do notice a bit of vibration but I didn't notice any with the Spoon.

Thanks guys. This is great to hear, and I would imagine that it still helps with wheel hop? I'm getting my car jailbroken soon and I do track it recreationally, so I'm kind of looking for the best of both worlds.

Appreciate all the help!

Sure, at the end of the day it is all a compromise. The most comfort is the least performance oriented, and vice versa. You'll want to make sure your selection aligns with where your personal preference falls on the comfort -> performance scale.

Another good way to reduce NVH with a RMM is to get Spoon Rigid Collars. A couple people that have A RMM on their car immediately notice the difference in NVH when they sit in my car.
