I saw a post here or maybe it was on FB about SRP pedals. Some people were wondering how easy it was to install em. Some videos out there but none seem to show how to install the accel pedal or the dead pedal (or even the heel plate). I bought a set a few weeks ago and just installed them and decided to film a, not so quick, install guide lol

I got the grid pattern but was in between that one and the Special Edition one. Really impressed with the quality. I had a set of a similar pedal on my M2 and really liked those, the OEM pedals in the type R are pretty good though vs the m2 ones that were super slippery, however there is no way they have as much grip as these and definitely don't look as nice.
The best thing is the dead pedal though, a bit larger than the OEM which is made for a child :D Heel plate is also nice to keep the oem carpet in good shape and the extension on the accel pedal makes it easier to heel toe (yes I am not good at this). However car is still asleep until the salt is off the road so can't give a review on these yet.

Anyways here is the video. like and subscribe and all that jazz lol

OK you got me.
But how am I supposed to know that a supposed and alleged "Heel Guard" is actually a floor plate?

Like, English, bro. Ammiright?

Edit:

Just read my own post, and realized that I spelled "ordered" ...
"odered".

And I thought I knew English.

Joke's on me.

Extra Edit:
It IS still April, though,
so... there is that.

Nice choice to match the vents!

Also I didn't post it on my OG post but on the video description there is a 10% discount code if anyone is after some pedals

I can't believe none of you went with the larger dead pedal plate that covers more of the carpet underneath!

https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/dead-pedal-cover.58767/#post-988120
Wait, they have two sizes of dead pedal?
How did I miss this? ... and the floor plate?

The website didn't shove those options in my face, and I didn't know to look for more options than what was on the main combo order page, so I guess I missed all that (plus I may have been about 4 shots deep into the whiskey).

I think I'll be good with the small dead pedal. I find myself resting my left foot on the floor, to the right of the dead pedal and underneath the clutch, when I'm cruising and not shifting anyway.
I think that's because the foot box in the manual Wrangler is too narrow to even have space for a dead pedal, so I've gotten used to not using one.

That being said, it remains to bee seen whether I order the floor plate, or "heel rest" , I think it's called.

@MooMoo , I'd like to know how your carpet Type R floor mat holds up over time with that plate installed.
Have you considered placing anything like a flat piece of rubber (?) underneath the floor plate in order protect the red carpet from the anchor nuts?

@MooMoo , how is that floor plate / heel rest installed, anyway?
what I meant I wish I had gone for being larger was the heel plate. There is no larger dead pedal.

heel plate is great, easy to install and will save the mat for sure

Its not something they regularly offer, the link for XMetal's post said he reached out to them and had it custom made.

You don't have to get that exact design of the larger dead pedal that I'd linked. That was my proposed design to have as much coverage over the red carpet underneath (based on how I tend to rest my foot) and SRP customized it for me. They will customize to whatever shape you want!
