Been annoyed with so many videos of it driving with only lame music and not getting to hear the exhaust. Came across this review tonight on YouTube. Commentary I believe is in Italian but at least we can hear the car.

Sorry for the repost. Didn't realize it was at the end of that journalist ride along thread. Just saw it.

If anyone speaks Italian would be good to see if there was any new tidbits of info to gather. I could catch towards the end of it some talk of the turbos geometry maybe.

That whistling sound is annoying. What is causing that?

You can safely assume the extra “bell and whistle” won’t be made available on the production vehicle.

He also got concerned in the video he went quiet as soon as he heard it. I don’t know what it could be exactly. But it was caused on the last turn, so it could just be the door opened a bit or
1. It’s overheating (not this again)
2. Brakes? (Didn’t sound like it but maybe)
3. Power steering fluid?
4. Belt.
One of these though, maybe
Power steering fluid? The Civic doesn't have a hydraulic power steering for over 10 years (atleast the EUDM)

Just saw this and was going to ask if it was really true about the engine upgrades he said. He mentioned there is a 2 piece water jacket, more blades in the turbo and a lightweight crankshaft. Don't really think we have seen this with the Japanese PowerPoint leaks. I remember people here saying that we are getting a smaller turbo.

If toyota made upgrades to the GRY engine going into the GRC. I'm 99% sure the FL5 will have a upgraded engine over the FK8.
