What did you do to your FL5 today?

Dropped my car off at the shop this morning to have the Spoon Rigid Collars and Front Stiff Plate installed. My alignment was a little off prior, cause it drives so much better now and feels smoother.

Did the rigid collars make any material impact on reducing the nvh and resonance on startup and low rpms from your rear motor mount? I’m looking for ways to reduce the resonance I hear at low rpms from my wunderladen rmm and curious if rigid collars helps with that. Thanks

I really did not have much NVH with the Wunderladen RMM to begin with, just at a cold start. The Rigid Collars barely helped reduce the NVH from a cold start, but I feel like they've helped the most with some road noise and vibrations I would have going over bumps and rough patches of road.

I also have the LTDL Performance Stabilizer Links from Two Step Performance as well, so that also is reducing what vibrations I may have. Its very much like the performance dampers from Mugen and Spoon.

Repaired a rock chip

Ended up finding two more so I patched them up too. Had to drive so covered them up with some leftover wrap and some trash bag plastic.

Bath Day then vacuumed the interior and refreshed the ceramic coat ,wiped down the engine bay and put the indoor Covercraft cover on.

A picture was posted on this very forum months ago showing that the Group A kit is made in China. Some of Mugen's carbon parts are made in China or Thailand, it's not a bad thing. I'm just saying that so people know even famed Mugen parts are made in China, as long as the QC, materials and finish are top notch it really doesn't matter where it's made.

Thank you @Two Step Performance! Got both front and rear Paragon rotors delivered today. Can't wait for some decent weather to get them installed along with my new Dixcel M Type pads.

That is nice AF! I plan on going this exact route pretty soon as well

Installed GiroDisc rotors and Dixcel M pads. Rotors on all four corners reduces unsprung weight by 10.8 lbs.

I wish I could answer that one. That’s definitely gonna be awhile. Only (already released) Mugen parts I don’t have for this car are the rims and seats. I’ve been waiting on the wing and valve cover to release. I thought I wanted the group B hood and fenders but now that we’ve seen the pricing on that……that’s probably not going to happen.

For some reason I couldn’t pass up the Black Friday sale from Adro and I picked that up as well. Should be here any day now, minus the wing. So I think I am going to put the Adro front, sides and rear diffuser on first. I have few other carbon bits I hoping will pair up with it nicely.
So for the time being, most of the Mugen collection is going to have sit and wait for its turn

Couple small updates on my car, I promised myself I'd wait at least a year for anything big so its all little stuff for awhile.

1. ITS shift knob spacer/collar thing installed. I hated the Mugen ball knob directly on top of the shift boot so this give it just enough clearance to be comfortable.....and its OEM.

2. I was probably going to order an Alcantara wheel in the new year but a used one popped up for half of the new price so why not? Cleaned up super well with Sonax, maybe not brand new condition but a new one wouldn't stay new for long anyway. So far I really like it. The steering wheel leather wasn't bad but getting rid of the cheaper leather throughout really elevates the cars interior IMO.

Love that boot collar! Got a part # handy? and good snag on the steering wheel, it looks mint! What kind of brush did you use to clean it? That sonax is a life saver lol.

Yup! 54103-3S5-A00 $30 from my local Acura store.

I used Sonax's horsehair brush, really happy with how clean it came out.
