New (to me) wheels and new tires.

Gloss Black 18x9.5 +38 TE37SL with OG decals w/ 275/35 Michelin PS4S

Got the wheels used. They were in rough shape. Had them cleaned up, polished, and ceramic coated by a detailer friend of mine.

also if anyone is interested in the following. I got tired of my headlights being On in plain daylight wether morning or afternoon. I came across Mikstore’s inventory and landed on the following Honda part. Looks like it’s from the Civic/FK8 and accord, also CRV. The Auto Sun Beam plug that helps turn the headlights on when its actually dark outside and off when it senses light. Mik’s is currently out of stock, so i ordered it from Honda Parts. “39860-TVA-A01”

No, only if you want to use it on other cars that are not Honda or Acura, then you would need one for that manufacturer.

I disabled the fake engine noise by unplugging the unit in the dash.

The 3D mats arrived today, installed, perfect fit, very pleased so far, but have not yet driven with it.

No issues driving with the 3D mat, good traction, shoe/foot did not slip.

BTW, in case anyone is wondering, the black cable is 10 gauge copper wire which I pulled into the cabin for my eventual ham radio installation... for now it is just laid down by the door sill, eventually I'll figure out where to put the main body of the radio. probably under the passenger side seat.

How does the OEM leather shift knob feel compared to the metal one? Kinda sick and tired of burning my hand in the sun, despite how cool it looks lol.

Same for the alcantara steering wheel, does it dirty easily? If it's anything like the seats I'll take it over the leather steering wheel

I’ve barely driven this yet so its short term review. We had a FL5 here for about 1.5 years it was my GFs car, she sold it but I did drive it a lot. The OE metal shift knob and slick steering wheel were the only things I disliked about the interior. That knob gets too hot and cold, also too slick and I really dislike the shape. This red leather has a much much nicer feel in hand, both in shape and texture, absolutely love it. Same for the steering wheel much nicer grip, love it. Can’t speak to long term cleanings/maintenance that will be more tedious vs the OE slick leather.

I cannot answer about the OEM leather, but I can answer based on past experience, any exposed metal will be hot.

I don't like the feel of a metal knob, and anyhow metal gets way too hot in SoCal.

I loved the Razo weighted (400g) leather grip knob I had in my 2007 Si (FA5), but for whatever reason, it did not feel good in the FL5, especially 5th and 6th gears. felt like it twisted the wrong way.

I tried about eight different knobs thanks to Amazon liberal return policy... different shape, different materials, different weights.

Initially I did not like the Mishimoto, it felt huge, even though I have fairly large hands. I swapped it out for another. I then came back to it since none of the others felt good. It took a couple of days to get used to it. now it feels perfect.

I thought that I'll miss the heavy weight of the Raso, but the Type R transmission along with the Hybrid Racing shifter is so smooth and tactile, there is no need for the added weight.

I also like the fact that it is more of a teardrop shape, not just a ball, I can grip it with my hand resting on the top, or from the sides, depending on my mood...

What are you talking about? It hit 106F today in the OC and I was able to drive home after work perfectly fine
