What did you do to your FL5 today?

Oh OK I thought they were badges to go on the valve cover. Would you be able to scale that design to a plate that is 90mm wide by 24mm high? Would be awesome!!

Sorry, I just bought the plates on Aliexpress and I'm replicating the same ones (similar ones) as the ones on my FL5 and some friends' cars.

After driving around today, I am very happy with the exhaust. No drone and it produces a deep exhaust tone without sounding tinny at all when the exhaust and front pipe are mated to a TSP downpipe. I love it and have no regrets although it is expensive...Buy once, cry once.

Under light throttle when cruising, the sound is similar to stock. When you let off the throttle, you can hear a slightly louder and deeper exhaust tone. When on the throttle, you progressively hear the deep exhaust tone get louder but not obnoxious as the RPMs increase.

Good stuff, glad you’re pleased with it. Videos would be helpful since you mated it to an aftermarket downpipe. I’ve put a couple hundred miles on the exhaust and it has gotten a little louder (re deeper). Nothing crazy but it’s noticeable. No rasp, no drone, no rattles - just a clean exhaust note.

I love the fujitsubo exhaust overall, but wish that I could keep the oem tip look. I think I'll just get their frontpipe and call it close enough. A little weight savings, maybe extra sound and retain the valve.

Save your coins. Getting the front pipe alone doesn’t make much sense. You’ll spend ~$600 for a stainless steel pipe. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice one, a high quality one, but there are no distinguishing features or capabilities about it. The piece to have is the Ti mid pipe with resonator and rear muffler section.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice one, a high quality one, but there are no distinguishing features or capabilities about it. When I bought the FL5, the only thing that looked off to me was the triple exhaust tips. It just seemed too overboard/fancy where it took time for me to kind of like it. Switching from three to two larger exhaust tips looks better IMHO.

I never cared or appreciated the need for the OEM exhaust valve. Every time I get into the car, I immediately change to +R mode anyway.

Fujitsubo front pipe is 100% solid as far as installation and alignment.

Agree for the most part...Depends on long term goals and intentions on the exhaust side. The OEM downpipe has a 2" outlet running through 2" piping before splitting at the rear. TSP downpipe offers a larger 2.75" outlet that can be mated with the OEM 2" front pipe and exhaust or other options. I went with the Fujitsubo front pipe and exhaust upgrade for several reasons where one was to maintain the 2.75" TSP downpipe outlet all the way through before splitting at the rear.

No real performance improvement other than removing a coffee straw restriction however, the Fujitsubo front pipe can be acquired for ~$400.00.

I'm always careful not to follow too closely on the freeway and this happens! The FL5 gets driven like once a week.. and a rock still got me ?. Good thing for insurance, just have to pay $250 deductible. FL5 OEM windshield is nearly $2200 not installed, + seals, installation and the calibration of the windshield sensor. On a positive note though, got a good deal on a PRL Carbon Inlet Pipe.
