What did you do to your FL5 today?

Got mine via eBay sellers in Japan. Price vs expected performance for my use is why I got them. They'll probably see 1-2 track days at Homestead this winter/spring.

You mention proper bedding - Dixel's site has a "just drive easy for 3-600 miles" note, it does not have the typical recommendation seen on some additive pads like doing a set of hard braking repeatedly and cooling. If you saw something else from Dixcel let me know, otherwise I'll hold off on hard braking until 500mi or so. If needed, I can hard bed them in then.

Feel like stock. Kinda funny how visible they are due to their lighter colored backplate.

Nope nothing different for break-in I only mention it because I was braking heavily with my set in less than 100 miles so I had to re-bed them.

So I open my rear driver's side door... and tons of water came out of it. Not sure why but there is water stuck in the door that only drains when it is open Will need to have a dealer take a look.

Nice! Glad to see others running Dixcel pads. I made my Zs my track pads as I get started tracking. They have withstood all the heat I could throw at them and stop like an anchor. I use M on the street or a combo of S front and M rears, the M are the ultimate street pad in my eyes. No dust, no noise, and stop better than OE, just can't handle track heat.

It might mean you have clogged drains

Type Z only for me, I’ll deal with the dust and the occasional noise. They haven’t failed me yet, and I haven’t receive any complaints from anyone else that switched

I haven't driven with it yet. It's not super weighted. The car rarely gets driven, so I was more focused on something unique.

Tried the exhaust valve fuse mod and unplugged the active sound control today.

I was a little indifferent to the fuse mod, does it sound marginally better, sure, just not quite what I expected. Ended up putting the fuse back in.

I will say that it is so much better without all the fake engine and exhaust noises. Unplugging that module was definitely worth the little time it took to take apart the dash.

Agreed - the fuse mod add just a tiny bit more, but still so quiet. I chose to just leave it as is and kept it off since it still pretty quiet. Been looking for a muffler shop to have one or both of the resonators chop off. I wish someone would make a resonator delete kit for either resonator - similarly style to the Golf R 7.5 or Audi S3 8V factory resonator delete kit. I'm not a fan of the MRT slip-fit and clamp solution.

The fake noise doesn't bother me as much since I leave the engine sound set to comfort and hardly notice it anymore.
