People are paying over 60K!Can't believe I'm seeing people pay over 50K for a Civic. Wild
I guess it depends on location and the dealership. I know where I am at the overall price of FK8s have dropped significantly. A dealership in Delaware has a 2017 as low as 33k.You got dealerships buying FK8s for FL5 MSRP

Yes but I'm worried for the people that pay 100,000 for a Toyota, or a Volkswagen...God forbid...those fools.People are paying over 60K!
Your comment illustrates how crazy the market is, our perception of it has come to accept the craziness, and how devalued the US dollar is. A six year old car (2017 model year starts production in 2016) selling for basically its original MSRP is seen as ”low”. Granted, that is $33k in todays dollars which is substantially less than what $33k was in 2017 due to reckless spending of western nations during Covid. Per government calculator $34k in 2017 equals $42k in today’s money.I guess it depends on location and the dealership. I know where I am at the overall price of FK8s have dropped significantly. I would say yes someone is willing to pay 1k-3k adm all day over someone they is only willing to pay MSRP and nothing morePrices are coming down for a FK8 but they are still crazy high and MOST are still close if not over their original MSRP. When you put that into consideration - then paying ADM for a NEW FL5 - should be better than the FK8 is deemed as not sooo bad. If it was a situation where you were seeing the FK8 going for used car prices and people were still paying $10k ADM if not more bc of accessories - then YES - it would be crazy but we aren’t.
I’m a big fan of You Auto Advocate and they even say if you want an enthusiast car - limited to your area - it will be hard to get MSRP or below. I feel that things will start to go back to ’normal’ by mid next year but most aren’t willing to wait. And with the waiting list for the FL5 - the question is would you pay ‘a little more’ to get it over someone who only is willing to pay MSRP. I think ‘most’ would probably say yes.
I can’t believe your reaction score is only 6 with how much you have posted…Can't believe I'm seeing people pay over 50K for a Civic. Wild

nah people don't air their finances online... they all look like they have the perfect life on insta but they fight with their spouse every night crying to sleep over money.Nothing makes me smile more than seeing the Wendy’s workers over on Reddit crying about the ADM, talking about how they’ll never pay one because frankly they can’t afford to. They would if they were able to. No doubt.
