Yikes. I’m surprised everyone is ditching the valve. The idea of being able to adjust the volume is super appealing. Blows my mind.
It's a Type R, not an accord. The fact it's this quiet from the factory is super unappealing

It’s a car sold internationally. You can thank Europe for the extra resonators. Also, just because a car is loud doesn’t mean it sounds good.

Just got my Remark SS exhaust installed today. Overall first impressions are that it is exactly what I was looking for for my daily driver. I needed it to be tolerable and not too loud especially on highways but wanted more sound than I got with the valve open and the fuse pulled. With the windows up and cruising at or below 2K RPM its quiet, almost like valve open. With the windows open and cruising at the same speed its sounds awesome, especially the gurgle between first and second. If I get on it with the windows open its rowdy, but with the windows closed its much more tame.

I know this is a "what is the best exhaust thread" but I haven't tried any other exhausts so I wont comment on that. But I would recommend this exhaust to anyone looking for a setup on a daily driver. I am happy with it so far I think it sounds good.

I didn't see this, thanks for mentioning it. A loud exhaust that drones doesn't appeal to me, at all. Interesting they're acknowledging it and still moving forward with development.
Agreed! It looks like the Invidia Q300 is most exciting new system coming out later this year. That’s the one my eyes are on.

I’ve put about 500 miles on my Remark Stainless. I agree with the other posters. It sounds great and it’s not too loud. Nice deep burble on cold starts and when shifting gears. Very very quiet at idle, almost stock level. Nice Growl on take off and it howls when you get higher in the revs. No drone but there is a steady hum at highway speed . Build quality / welds are flawless. Figment was also spot on. Overall volume is very similar to the HKS spec L I had on my FK8. To anyone on the fence about this one I would highly recommend taking the plunge. A steal compared to what else is out there at under $1500.

kinda funny (but nice) they point it out themselves that it drones.
I have no interest in a system that drones, but would still be open to trying it. Love that it is valved, has 3 tips, flanges, and no slip clamps (even on the tips).

They’re ditching the valve because it makes very little difference in sound
i have had the HKS exhaust on the fl5 for 800 miles and have no regrets. i don't think it needs a valve, and appreciate always having the deep exhaust note present. this exhaust also sounds smooth and premium and that's what i was looking for. it looks awesome too, i prefer 2 exhaust tips vs 3. if you're interested in the HKS, you won't be disappointed.

Im between one of the JDM offerings and the Remark or Magnaflow. Which most of them don’t keep the valve anyway. After hearing a couple exhausts with and without the valve, it really doesn’t justify its existence.

i agree, it's fine without. i know people want this car to be everything but it isn't quiet in general so if the exhaust doesn't drone then it's a winner.

I just did a combined 5.5 hrs drive yesterday. The engine was in comfort mode and the tones from the Apexi exhaust was acceptable for my wife. I did put the front windows down and put it in R+ mode for her to hear the difference. I like it so far, paired with the whooshing sound of the Eventuri intake, I’m content.

Is there any drone 60-70mph? Seems to be a pretty moderate volume, but I haven’t found many videos. I want to notice it, but nothing ear shattering. This or the Remark are my main contenders. Leaning towards the HKS.
