The only way to truly know is run and get some numbers. Whether 0 to 60/100 with it turned on and off.

On hptuners software (specifically LSJ and LNF) there was pedal effort and throttle body position.

U could make it to where the second the pedal was down 50% the throttle opened 100%

the pedal commander things are dope. I think folks are better served by just flashing the ecu and asking for a little more aggressive pedal feel

at least the pedal commander thingy is good for folks who care about warranty and the like.
The throttle mod introduces extra stress and wear to the drivetrain. Over time that stress can be exponentially adverse.

I have a friend with a GT3 and his PDK failed, which he blamed on the pedal commander. Porsche covered the replacement but it would have been very very costly.

Oh damn. A dq371 dual clutch dsg on a GTI. Labor for the install and coding plus the trans. That’s damn near 8-9k I’ve heard. A pdk must be astronomical

Is not into gimmicks and buys into a Pedal Commander and then disregards the explanation from @ctechauto and feedback from other forum members...

IMO I don't think you saved any money by foregoing an actual tune. Hondata, especially if you can get one used or with a jailbreak during their jailbreak tour and their OTS tunes would have been more beneficial in more ways than just throttle mapping.

But if you're into this type of stuff, maybe you're also the target audience for upgrading your battery ground cable for supposed increased throttle response.
Probably tailored made for him 🤣 and can’t reveal the source because gets in trouble meanwhile does a post a minute saying how he is better than everyone else 🤣. Well I will get banned from this or another warning, but come on man the car already have 3 maps for the throttle and a pedal commander will be better than turning the car. He say he want to save money meanwhile on couple posts ago he is making wheels tailored for him and no one else how that’s cheaper than a tune? What next you got the whistle for the exhaust that make turbo noises to make the turbo sound louder? Please give me a break!

All I know is that I miss the good ol' throttle cable!

I have had a few friends back in the day who installed these on their cars and yeah I wasn't impressed, they really are just gimmicks in the sense that they just tell the computer to "press the gas down further" we even ran cars (both were the same year and model) next to each other and as long as both drivers pushed the gas all the way down there were no performance differences.

I have a brother that had one on his Tacoma. It had a super lazy throttle. This helped a lot. But after he had the trd super charger installed. He had to remove it. The recalibration from Toyota made the pedal a lot better or maybe it was the instant boost from the positive displacement blower? Either way he didn’t need it anymore.

It just doesn't make sense to me on how you're saving money by using it. If the plan is ever to get a tune, then that's $329 down the drain. If not, then it's $329 down the drain 🫣

I've seen this topic creep up on the Porsche forums from time to time. People do indeed swear by it. It's a "feel" mod. In that sense it's not a gimmick... but claiming the car is faster is just "inaccurate".

Perception ≠ physics

That's all I'll say because this is the kindler, gentler me. I don't want any more demerit points.
