Also DSC is fast, I just bought it and already arriving today. Won't be installing for a second though, have to get an alignment cuz of new suspension and would love to do a back to back comparison of ITS module and this, maybe at Lime Rock FCP euro proving grounds (if I can wait lol)

ICYMI:

The DSC controller replaces the factory suspension controller to gain full control of the stock shocks. It features an advanced active strategy that operates across a much wider range within each of the three driving modes compared to the OEM system. Even better? It's plug and play, though you can also customize the entire strategy in our tuning software. You can even utilize community tunes!

The example image below illustrates this expanded operating range. Within each mode, DSC continuously monitors g-forces and driver inputs (such as steering, throttle, and braking) to actively adjust shock stiffness in real time.

Patience is a virtue, but it ain't one of mine.

Had I waited a few weeks, I could have saved $150 off my DSC...

Darn.

I love my DSC, it is everything good everyone says it is.

I'll be the first one to admit that I drive like an ape, and I am not a very attuned driver, but even I could tell a noticeable difference.

DSC supple yet firm, I just keep my DSC in comfort mode, and let it automagically adjust all they way to firm as needed.

way better than the CTR module which is way too stiff in +R making it nearly useless. better than the ITS module, which did make +R more useable, but made comfort too floaty

I love the stock in sport for my street use.... I "like" it a lot....have softer cars but find the R just is best stiff in terms of the feel...call me odd. And I am over 40yo, have had a 911 gt2...with 3 ways...so I get it. I worry that this system will dilute the car....I like it being stiff when I don't really need it being that stiff and this system will go there when you need it but not when you don't need it....making the majority of use "soft".... Can anyone dissuade me from my perception. I have read the website data, the thread here, and a bunch of 911 threads. Thanks!

The beauty is that this controller basically is an unlock for the ADS. You have the choice to fine tune it to your liking, even if that means to just stiffen/ soften up the base dampening or create a whole custom map.

I actually didn't realize this until after I ordered it! Really looking forward to being able to tune the suspension to my liking.

Just note that the DSC software has a pretty high learning curve, but chatGPT is your friend šŸ˜€

I don't have the other complaints that everyone does, about the suspension being too stiff or hurting them. The only issue I have is with the suspension as I hit potholes and broken roads constantly in the Midwest, jarring rebound from the hits.

How well does it help with the constant jarring living in a city with potholes and constant uneven patches?

A lot. I also had no complaints with the stock module. However, the damping when hitting these imperfections or potholes sometimes hurt my soul on my 19" ZE40's. Now with DSC is just a soft quick rebound on Comfort mode. Even on +R it's compliant.

Yes that is my biggest issue a lot of these potholes are jarring especially with the OEM wheels. I feel every thing as if the car is a little bit slow to absorb the impacts. If I didn't live in such a poor City with such shitty roads rivaling African roads I definitely will look into this.

It also seems to almost change in real time milliseconds to adopt a changes so even though if you're in Comfort if you're not taking invasive maneuver it seems like it adjusts right away

So since I bought my FL5 I have felt like something was off. We all know what I’m talking about the, elephant in the room Type R suspension damper, how stiff and pogoing it could be, how Sports mode was weird and barely used. And how the only resolution was the ITS damper module. Which wasn’t the answer either. It lacked the soul, the steering was less engaging, there was no clear definition between modes, Sport + felt like Comfort.

Well I am here to tell you, all our prayers have been answered. I’m not some tech guru, I’m just someone who loves driving and when I tell you the DSC sport module is the very first mod everyone should make when they buy this car I don’t say it lightly!

My goodness is it good! Comfort, is soft and pillowy, it eats every bump and makes your daily commute a breeze, while also feeling engaging and stiffening when you most need it. This is what comfort should have been all along. Sport, which used to be my least favorite mode, is now my favorite! The steering is engaging! The ride stiff but forgiving! No more nose dives on breaking, just flat and perfect! Type R+ is exactly what it should be minus the Pogo, it’s stiff, uncompromising but keeps contact throughout every curve!

Did I mention you can also modify it? If you have springs, coilovers, different tires, want to be more aggressive, less aggressive the world is your oyster! But right out the box for a stock FL5 it’s sheer perfection.

Look. I know it’s 1k (actually $875 right now with coupon code CIVICXIFORUMS) but my god it’s worth it. I really can’t say much else. JUST BUY IT! Trust me you will not regret it!
